He’s talking out of his ass. Clayton’s mother is a travel nurse who worked in the northeast and went to a ton of his games when he was at Iona. Father isn’t in the picture.You think/know Pitino had to make calls on his behalf vs. it happening w/o Pitino? And he mainly went to be near parents ? (Vs hearing he had a child there and/or $$)
I don't get impression Clayton needed Rick's help to go there.

And the team that's mind is on the right stuff and hungry to get a win in conference play is the team that's probably going to win."
