Around College Basketball

I had to look that up but you are right. What about if you can't beat him hire him? 🤣
And sorry, not trying to cause anyone work, so will fill it in for all. When Tauren Thompson transferred to Seton Hall it was determined they tampered with him and that Holloway was the culprit. And leave it to the NCAA, Seton Hall was not punished but Holloway had to serve I believe a one game suspension as St. Peter’s coach as he had moved on.

I would hope one year we get invited to the CBS Classic at MSG while we have Pitino. if they're inviting Ohio State...it's time for us to get an invite.

This may be a hot take but I actually think Jackson can use another year in college. He would be too undersized in the NBA and doesn't have the handle to be a lead guard. He's much more advanced than where Sim was last year. But one more year in college should really make him a lotto bound guy.
Not really a thing you get invited to. It’s a locked 4 team event annually. Similar to the Champions Classic. This one always features Ohio St, Kentucky, UNC, and UCLA. It’s also not always at MSG. Last year was in Atlanta.

Now it will be interesting for Ohio State and UCLA now that they are both back in the B10. The contract for all 4 teams are signed through 2026 though.

How the hell is San Diego State ranked an not us? That team is terrible. I have under 143 and it's 16-11 with 5 minutes to go in 1h.

I always felt it should have been UCLA instead of Michigan State in the Champions Classic (Duke, Kentucky and Kansas being the other three).

Alabama is not very impressive, they play fast and hit the boards but sloppy and don't shoot the three that great given how many they take.

Agree. They have a lot of individual talent but have been underwhelming so far. Best has been frosh PG Philon.

Rutgers seems to be having a lost season despite having two Top 5 freshmen.

Let me commiserate with a story from 1994....
Rutgers struggles with sports in general. I don't think the basketball team has been any good since Quincy Douby!

That being said, the RAC is small, hot, and the seats are awful but it's still can get rockin'.

I'd argue they had a lot of talent both years and under performed. I don't remember but I think they only one like 35 games over those two seasons. Like 17 one year and 18 the next. Also I think it's been 40 years since they won an NCAA tournament game. They are a consistent disappointment.
