Around College Basketball

I wish nothing but misery to the teams that left the Big East. I got that with BC (one of the more irrelevant basketball programs in the country) but I have had to wait awhile for Cuse. F them.

Setting that aside, purely from a basketball standpoint I can't think of a more natural bilateral fit there than Holloway. He needs a northeast job with at least some resources and Syracuse needs a lot of help.

I would hope one year we get invited to the CBS Classic at MSG while we have Pitino. if they're inviting Ohio State...it's time for us to get an invite.

This may be a hot take but I actually think Jackson can use another year in college. He would be too undersized in the NBA and doesn't have the handle to be a lead guard. He's much more advanced than where Sim was last year. But one more year in college should really make him a lotto bound guy.

One other trend I've noticed around college basketball is fifth year guys struggling this year -- at least according to their standards.

Our very own Kadary is one example, but he at least transferred. RJ Davis, Mark Sears, LJ Cryer, Hunter Dickinson, Ryan Kalkbrenner, Caleb Love. All of these guys have returned. None of these guys have either improved on their previous year and/or achieved the team success they expected.

They hate him. He served a suspension for tampering with one of their players.
