Around College Basketball

Glen Taylor played 29 minutes, 9 points with a couple threes (2-4) and five rebounds against a top 25 Michigan team in a win.

Can’t convince me we couldn’t still use him today/needed him to play more last year
There was one possession late in the game he went 1 on 1 defensively against 7 footer Vlad Goldin, stood his ground and forced a miss.

Happy for Glenn. Moser is letting him shoot more 3s this year but hasn't been shooting them well aside from a 4-7 game against East Texas A&M. Solid player but don't think he'd be getting close to the minutes here that he's getting there.

Side note - If I were a betting man I'd fade Oklahoma pretty hard going forward. They are going to crash back to Earth soon

We have a roster full of guys who can do this on any night. We have no need for him on this roster which is why he is not here.

This years field was 8 teams, 3 games in 5 days.
Next year, 16 teams, format TBA
They said international style group play with championships, so I'd assume it'll be four games (three for group play, 1 for "championship" play). Point differential may be the tiebreaker that won't necessitate a semi-final.

I just realized the flier is in alphabetical order, but either way, hard to go wrong with any other combination of three. I frankly think Syracuse/ND/Rutgers should be OOC games in a home/home anyway

You would have to assume they would put creighton on the other side of the brackett from st johns.

Is this 4 games in 4 days?
no definitive Format i can see... other than a "group" play model. So one can assume - with 16 teams:
-4 groups of 4. Top 2 from each advance.
-Elite 8 -ish format to follow.

Think they did 2 groups of 4 this year... with only 2 games in group play- and using Points as a seeding mechanism.

Next year... if they do a "true" group play - you would max out at 6 games. 3 in Group- 3 for the tourney...

Give me 6 games agains THAT Field... 4 Buy games and 1 other marquee match (Kentucky?) - Solid Sched

re-reading my imagination.... no way you play 6 games in a week... can this be extended into a two week event? interesting....
