FAU becoming an interesting story here. They return almost everyone from a final four team; and as a result have been getting a lot of leeway in the polls.
But they are 18-5 (8-2) in a mid major conference and they are heading to OT with 10-13 Wichita State.
Another loss here and at what point are they squarely on the bubble? You can’t just be given goodwill from the committee because of a run last season can you?

They switched leagues this season to their detriment I believe. Agree w goodwill reference.
well fau just blitzed Wichita state in OT. I feel like a loss there would’ve put them near the bubble

Not sure they would have went from being ranked 20th with a net of 28 right to potential bubbling with that loss. Would take a total collapse at this point for them to not be safely in.
I definitely wouldn't want to play them . . . which with my luck now means we will get in and have to play them.
I’m watching Texas Tech play Kansas now. Tech has a first year Head Coach and nine new players, 7 transfers and 2 Freshmen. They’re 17-6 and 6-4 in the Big 12 and watching them play, the way they share the ball, is a joy. They were ranked for a few weeks already this season. Between Kansas St. last year, Iowa St and Texas Tech, there’s plenty of evidence that you can put together a tournament team very quickly. I love Pitino and I’m glad he’s here but he just totally whiffed on this team this year. I am confident though that with him and Matt A working the portal that we will have the right guys here next year. If coaches like Jerome Tang, Grant McCasland and TJ Otzelberger can do it there's no reason to believe that Pitino can’t do it now that he knows the lay of the land.
