Don’t knock UMiami’s academics.
Miami is no longer “Sun Tan U” as it once was.
Today Miami is a solid academic institution ranked by US News as the #55 National University with a 28% acceptance rate.
I didn’t say it was good judgement just reasoning she used and supposedly the Big East proposal was better financially.

I know three kids who have gone to the U in the last few years. One graduated from Med School and is doing her internship, one has a masters and working for a consultant and the other is starting his junior year. Far cry from one guy my age who went to the U and had six credits after one year.

I wasn’t knocking Miami U . Only Donna . I know it’s a good School but , it’s a stretch to day they left for Academics is a stretch . BC too , opened the Collection Plate .
It’s not worked out well for the Eagles . They haven’t done well in BB or Football since they left the BE.
Again Big East offered more money for both to stay.
Again , No School leaves for “ allegedly “ better Academics . Just saying .
Besides the BE still had Syracuse , Pitt , Villanova, G’Town , Providence , UCOnn and us .
All good schools. Then , after they left we got ND . Better than , either , Miami or BC . Plus , G’Town and Nova aren’t chopped liver .
And , we are doing better Academically too . Fr Shanley working on that too. It’s not just BB with him .
