Around College Basketball

Pretty sure that game would draw a bigger crowd at Dayton.
You would alternate home game. Guaranteed sellout in Dayton and I think a comparable crowd every other year at MSG. This OOC game should be Syracuse, but they won't schedule us. Let's move on and get a rivalry going with a very worthy opponent, the Flyers.

Yes, the same Southern New Hampshire D2 team that we waxed over the wknd. This performance is coming off of Cuse’s halftime deficit and narrow defeat over Indiana (PA) earlier last week.

They open up w Lehigh on Monday who just like most years is projected to be within the Top3 to win the Patriot. Should be interesting.

Who knows, at this rate we might be seeing Richmond in Brooklyn if we get past Temple.
Its really tough to gage anything at this juncture. The Cuse was up 20, midway in the first half, at that point several things could have happened. Perhaps the coach whole sale subbed and lost the momentum or the players found it too easy early on and the effort went down etc. If the Cuse had lost, thats one thing but they didn't. I wouldn't take too much away from this and assume they wont be decent..Hopefully they are bad when we play them but that zone of theirs is always a concern, especially for team like the Johnnies that are not known for knocking down threes.

In two blow out wins against Omaha and North Dakota State, Kansas' Kyle Cuffe Jr. played 2 and 4 minutes respectively and scored 0 points with only one other Kansas player getting less time in both contests. Kansas is loaded with underclass guards like frosh Grady Dick who averaged 29 minutes in both contests. Looks like playing time will once again be scarce for young Cuffe.

The interesting thing here was that lead recruiter for Cuffe, our very own Norm Roberts
probably promised young Cuffe significant playing time were he to come to Kansas. As we all recall, the book on Roberts was “nice guy”, not a great coach or recruiter. Perhaps the “nice guy” part was a bit exaggerated?

You are so negative about st john's and you are justifying syracuse. Interesting.

Please provide some expert analysist of Louisville losing to Bellarmine.
It was like watching the movie Hoosiers . 5 white kids who never let the ball hit the ground and are constantly cutting and screening. It's the way the game is supposed to be played. Very impressive

Actually,I’m not justifying anyone just warning not to take anyone at this point in the year lightly regardless of pre conference games. In terms of being negative about St. John’s? Just curious, how old are you? Do you not see the difference between being negative and critiquing a body of work? While it may not seem so to those who are narrow minded, limited in their thought process but I’m probably one of the most positive posters on here. I want the team to do well but recognize where improvements need to be made and try to monitor their progress game to game.
