Around College Basketball (non-Big East) 2018/19
Texas Tech has two Flaws

1) No ball handling point guard ( Tre Jones absolutely abused their P.G).
2) Their only offense is Culver and that’s it.
TT has a deep team with some size. I had hoped Justin Simon who was a highly rated 4 star shooting guard could shoot like Culver who was a 3 star recruit.

Simon was actually a 5-star recruit.

Good team Texas tech. Owens did fine as a transfer, but didn’t improve his position as far as minutes and role goes, only made ours a little more difficult without bigs. That said, I’d like to see them lose to Dook selfishly. I wanna hit Duke with what we have, hopefully with a healthy Keita. Give our boys a chance to play them with our offensive ability. Win or not it doesn’t matter really. It’d be an amazing win or a good loss either way... no lose situation.
It would only be a good loss if the score is reasonably close!
. Not at all. It’s Duke... score doesn’t matter when losing to them unless it’s under 10 for the NET.

Our offense is a ton better than theirs. We don’t have Tech’s size, but it didn’t really help them as Duke doesn’t rely on size either...our offense isn’t a one trick pony. We just need our swag back.. we have the talent.

And I don’t think Mullin is intimidated by much on the court. He dropped 50 against Michael Jordan on a pro stage... he’s gotta get our guys in the mental mind set to do the same...

Constant digs at our players getting old

I've heard him shout out St. John's almost every time I hear him broadcasting. Tremendous respect for Louie and our History.
He always said nice things about the program, but never as often as he did last night

I have never cared for the guy but he has always been kind to SJU.

He also has a soft spot for Mullin going back to his college days.

He's been voting for us in the AP poll, so at least, his actions have back up his words.
If you want to do a separate thread for this, fine, but a couple of bracketology threads have already been buried here.

Anyway, Lunardi still not buying in on us. He says 9 seed.

Furman is undefeated, beat the defending national champions, ranked in the Top 25 in BOTH polls and yet Lundardi does not have them in. That makes zero sense to me.

IMO he has consistently been the most pro-St. John's announcer out there. Tremendous respect for Louie as you said, loves Mullin, and he seems like he is genuinely rooting for our program and the Big East (as well as. Duke, ND, and the ACC).

Watching UCLA losing by 13 to Ohio State with 3 minuets left.
I used to be ambivalent towards UCLA. Then I attended the Lavin game at Pauley Pavilion. To say that the UCLA fans were slapped asses is an understatement. They make Syracuse and UConn fans seem civil.
Now, I hate UCLA. Go Buckeyes!

I think Alford might be looking for work after this year.
Georgia Tech lost pretty convincingly to Georgia at home today 70-59.
The had a nice win at Arkansas this week too but yeah they will end up at the bottom of ACC.

And man Rutgers, they needed OT to beat Columbia at home...if they had lost to Columbia after losing to Fordham as well that would have been 5 losses in a row. Again would be surprised if they finish outside of bottom 2 in Big 10.

So many people liked the Pikell hire, but it looks like he will have a 3rd straight low single digit conference win total. Can anyone win there?

They lost last night, so now it's a moot point. Outside of a win over Nova their next best win was #147 Loyola Chicago.
