Around College Basketball (non-Big East) 2018/19

The had a nice win at Arkansas this week too but yeah they will end up at the bottom of ACC.

And man Rutgers, they needed OT to beat Columbia at home...if they had lost to Columbia after losing to Fordham as well that would have been 5 losses in a row. Again would be surprised if they finish outside of bottom 2 in Big 10.
So many people liked the Pikell hire, but it looks like he will have a 3rd straight low single digit conference win total. Can anyone win there?
You have to give him time. That is a dead end job. Have to look at how much patience Penn St has shown with Chambers. Rutgers needs to show similar patience with Pikiell.

Also, look at how Nebraska's patience with Tim Miles is paying off.

Watching UCLA losing by 13 to Ohio State with 3 minuets left.
I used to be ambivalent towards UCLA. Then I attended the Lavin game at Pauley Pavilion. To say that the UCLA fans were slapped asses is an understatement. They make Syracuse and UConn fans seem civil.
Now, I hate UCLA. Go Buckeyes!
I think Alford might be looking for work after this year.
He’s not going to make it to the end of the season.

And perhaps Brown finds his way home....

One of five out of 350 teams in Division One!! Quite an accomplishment.Players , staff , and students should be very proud!

Final: Princeton 67, #17 Arizona St. 66, in Tempe.

A great win for Princeton, and a good one for St. John's!

Princeton with a 7 point halftime lead at #17 Arizona St.
Big win for Princeton. And us. So now Vcu. California and Princeton all have nice wins on their resumes. Let’s hope Rutgers wins a few they shouldn’t. And our ooc hopefully will look a little better in most eyes

Got home from Chapel Hill in time to see last 7 minutes of Princeton ASU game. What a win for Princeton!!
Now if I can just get dinner together and figure out how to access that Fox Go app on my laptop between now and 8:30 all will be well!

Nassir Little is still finding his way with the Tar Heels. Played about 20 minutes in their blowout of Davidson today - had 10 points a highlight reel follow slam and a beautiful block. Clearly lots of talent but is being brought along slowly by Roy Williams.

None of that matters a bit if we don’t take care of business.

Princeton going on the road to ASU and winning is very impressive. Especially when you consider that just one week ago undefeated #1 Kansas lost when they went on the road to play the Sun Devils.

Also I see a pretty good win by an 8 and 4 VCU team on the road against Texas, but I do not see anything remotely resembling a decent win by a 5 and 7 Cal team anywhere on their resume (see link below).

Cal has a nice win vs San Diego state. At the time they won it it looked nicer

I’m fully aware of that. Of course we do
