Bowling Green up 16 on the road looking for its 10th straight win!

Rutgers beat Nebraska yesterday.
Georgia Tech holds on to beat ND and improve to 3-3 in the ACC.

Bowling Green wins by 13 as well.

It's very possible VCU, Ga Tech, Rutgers, and Bowling Green end up netting us one Quad 1 vicotry and 3 Quad 2 victories.
SJU is 15-4 and projected to be a 10th seed even with those wins. You are grasping at straws if you think the committee thinks those wins (with a maybe on VCU) are anything but mediocre.
Our quad 1 and quad 2 records will be big factors. That is not even up for debate.

The bubble appears weak this year. As long as Buffalo, Nevada and Gonzaga win their conferences, then you will be able to count on one hand the number of at-large bids outside of the Power 6. Add to that that the Pac12 appears headed toward only 1 or 2 at-large bids and you could be looking at 35 or 36 bids from the ACC, Big 10, Big 12, SEC and Big East. I think we are in as long as we get to 10 conference wins. Right now, we are 1-3 in Q1 and 5-0 in Q2. We have 4 Q1 games remaining (@Duke, @Marq, nova, @Creighton) and 5 Q2 games remaining (Butler, SH, @Xavier, @PC, @DePaul). Keep in mind, these are based on rankings as of today and things can shift.
What hurts us is the lack of opportunities for those Q1 wins. The typical power conference team has multiple remaining opportunities at home to score a Q1 win. This is where the Seton Hall screw job really hurts.

Q1: H1-30, N1-50, A 1-75
Q2 H31-75, N 51-100, A 76-135
based on NET rankings.

Tennessee needs OT to beat Vandy behind Grant Williams a big who had 43 pts including going 23-23 at the foul line. If he misses even one FT game probably doesn't even make it to OT and 5-0 in conf would have lost to 0-5 in conf Vandy.

All the more reason we need VCU to slide from #52 to inside top 50.

So tough watching Femi knowing how close he was to coming here. Is literally the exact player we are missing. Shoots, legit inside game, and hell he even makes FT's.

Interesting fact: The UCONN women's BB team has never lost an AAC game since the conference was formed in 2013.

For anyone interested, Murray Sate and the exciting Ja Morant are on ESPNU tonight at 9 e.s.t against Belmont.

Once Geno leaves their reign ends. They don't have the power conference swag anymore. A lot has changed since he started there and when he will end.

So, it isn’t far fetch to expect more from our coach . Comparing our school and theirs ,them being 9-22 guess there is hope for much better things to come,it just may take longer than many have thought

It will take longer because of turnover in players. EM's formula is similar to Mullin's in regard to transfers but EM has always added size with the transfer process. Of course his coaching pedigree is impeccable.
Texas Tech is a lock for the tournament, something we are not
They lost to Kansas State on Tuesday night by 13 to drop to 15-4 with 3 losses in a row. Tariq had 12/6 in 33 minutes of play. They have lost a ton of players as of late and have a very thin bench.
We will see if they are a lock to dance.

Murray State is playing @ 9pm on ESPNU. Haven't seen Ja Morant play yet so should be a fun watch. Please refer all questions to Moose as to what channel ESPNU is on by provider. That's Moose of the redmen.com HOF and not the baseball HOF.

A kid who played down the road from my locale. I thought he was being under-recruited his senior year in HS, but I never envisioned him being in the position he's in now (certainly not this early).... And, that's a top 5 NBA Draft pick in the '19 draft.

Well right now almost all the mock brackets have TT about 5-6 seed lines better than SJU so they are certainly more of a lock than SJU is. Keep in mind too, TT lost 5 key seniors off of last year's Final 8 team. This was supposed to be a rebuilding year for TT. They have far exceeded expectations. This is not a rebuilding year for SJU, on the contrary, this was supposed to be the breakthrough year at SJU.

I watched that game keeping up with Owens.
Owens is 10th nationally and first in the conference with 47 blocked shots and on the Naismith Defensive Player of the year list. Whether he started or came off the bench I think we danced this year with him. It turns out he was a big loss. TT goes 8 deep but I agree that they are no longer a lock because like St. John's their remaining conference schedule is a killer.
I think MZ made his comment before the consecutive losses.

I agree his loss was very big and just trying to point out that the grass was not greener. I too believethatbhis loss was key and had he stayed we might be undefeated today and did not require 12/6 from him nightly to be undefeated.
It was not MZ who predicted that TT is a lock but rather Jack Williams.
We will see, a lot of bball to be played for both teams.
