86-72 final. Always makes my night when 'Cuse goes down. Goes all the way back to the days of their Bing/Boeheim backcourt.

A heckuva game going on out in Anaheim between Pepperdine/Arizona (being we play 'Zona next month is why I initially tuned in). I've pretty much watched the entire game and telling myself that I would tune into something else once Arizona pulled away. But Arizona hasn't pulled away, and the game has been well-played on both sides. A very, clean game.

Arizona is up 89-86 with two minutes remaining in the game.

Nico Mannion with a tough runner to give Arizona the lead with two seconds remaining, and eventually gave Arizona the win (93-91). 25 lead changes in tonight's game.

Pepperdine basically did it with five players. This was a fun one.

Unranked Michigan with double digit wins over two Top 10 teams, North Carolina and Gonzaga. Juwan Howard must know a little something about coaching. It also helps having an experienced coach like Phil Martelli on his staff.

Howard's also not new to coaching, having spent the last six years as an assistant with the Miami Heat, so he went the Patrick Ewing route. He also did not inherit an empty cupboard at Michigan. IMO, that makes it much easier to get someone like Martelli to come on board.

That being said, they're off to a great start, and I do think they are for real.

Michigan's three top scorers graduated so I am not sure how much was left. The point I was making is that they were unranked and knocked off two Top 10 teams in two days, It was a hell of a feat. A lot of times teams will have a letdown after beating a Top 10 team. Howard had them ready to play and they got another win against a Top 10 team.

West Virginia hangs on to win against Rhode Island 86-81 and is off until they come play us next weekend. Let's hope we can handle business against St. Peter's and stay healthy for what will be a big opportunity against an undefeated team out of the Big12. Pretty nice set-up for our first MSG game of the season.

We gotta beat wvu at msg, need atleast 1 p5 win, and with the az game in S.F. that will be tough.
Wvu is our best bet for that win

Anyone watching the Louisville vs Michigan game? The Louisville home court has the single worst center court insignia, ever! A giant Cardinal dunking a basketball while very prominently wearing Adidas sneakers. I wonder how much Louisville raked in for that promo?!?

I love it.
Better than those colored and patterned courts that are popular nowadays

When do the calls for Jim Boeheim to step down start...at least a whisper campaign.

Let's not kid ourselves the last 5-6 years have been mediocre, even the Final 4 run in 2016 was a a fluke. I remember he was asked a question about how the program has seemingly fallen the last few years during the 2016-17 season and he bristled. He tried to argue the Final 4 run in 2016 was "better than the teams with Derrick Coleman and Sherman Douglas that won 26 and 30 in 1988 and 1989 because the Final 4 makes it so" Which was a crock. The program is not getting elite talent anymore.

Look at this run, it is downright mediocre. And now they are 4-4 this year and look quite frankly terrible.

They may live to regret not pushing him out a few years ago and giving the job to Hopkins. That is why he bolted for UW and I don't think he will come back.

2014–15 Syracuse 18–13 9–9 8th Ineligible
2015–16 Syracuse 19–9** 9–6** T–9th NCAA Division I Final Four
2016–17 Syracuse 19–15 10–8 T–7th NIT Second Round
2017–18 Syracuse 23–14 8–10 T–10th NCAA Division I Sweet 16
2018–19 Syracuse 20–14 10–8 T-7th NCAA Division I Round of 64
Syracuse: 946*–385 (.711)*** 394–237 (.624)

Year before this run, they actually had a good first year in ACC went 13-5 and were a 3 seed in the NCAA's in 2013-14.
