Around College Basketball 2019/20 Season

Noticed Ighieon a former Johnny big recruit, is like many frosh paying his dues & learning. He has been getting about 5 minutes a game while former SJU transfer big man target, Steve Enoch, is really getting it done at Louisville. Experience counts. As an aside, obviously early, but Champagnie’s learning curve seems on right arc. Appears to be a very heady player with nice upside.
My nephew played a few years on the AAU circuit with the brothers, he loves this kid. Tell me he does all the little things, not as gifted offensively as his brother but part heady player. Nice 4 years glue guy.
Will be fun to follow progress of Johnny Julian and Panther Justin for comparative purposes. Julian may finally have his chance to shine now that he is out of the shadow of his brother.
I like how Julian added a lot of muscle to his frame and is fitting more into a PF role. I think that’s where he’s best played and has some skills early on that I like to see. I’d like to see him work on his offensive game around the baskets and making short-midrange jumpers. If he can start doing that and board hard, he will be very good for us.

It’s early but he seems very “poised” for a freshman. I think that’s the right word.

Huh?????
I assumed he was referring to the suicide. But he should probably use the quote function.

Per Borzello

Memphis announces that James Wiseman has been declared ineligible and will be withheld from competition while it awaits reinstatement from the NCAA. Wiseman can practice, but won't play in games.

Wiseman could have saved 12 games if he went to Duke or Kentucky B)

Anyone know why 12 games? Or should I just assume the arbitrary capricious nature of the NCAA is in full effect.
Only $11,500, that’s easy for a kid out of high school
Sounds like extortion. Where the hell is he going to get that kind of money? If I were him I’d say I’m turning pro. He’s in a position that he’ll be a top pick in June anyway. Total nonsense.
How many games for the coach that gave the family the money?
None as he wasn’t a college coach at the time, the kid gets punished though.

1 game per thousand dollar lent ($11,500) rounded up.

As good as a guess as any.

The kid wasn’t a college student at the time either
