I'm surprised. Personally I would pass on this recruit. Not sure why everyone is falling in love with him. His play is nice, but not earth shattering.
And he is charged with a felony.
Don't need that.
I can't speak for everyone, but I trust that the staff heard enough from Livingston himself about what happened to warrant taking a change. A while back I posted my theory about what happened, and if my guess is close to the truth, then I'm comfortable with him here.
The staff has a conflict of interest. They should have no role in the decision beyond judging his basketball skills. SJU has to be very careful here. I don't know anything more than what's posted here and none of us can judge. But if the school slips like it did 15 years ago the media will be all over it
We're held to a higher standard than cuse or Louisville or Yukon
I don't know the if Livingston is the right guy for our team or not, but one bad character can definitely ruin a season. It happened at Villanova a few years back, and it happened at SJU, when Louie took the transfer from Kansas State, Curtis Redding.
SS&G:
Dr. David Livingstone journeyed to East Africa in 1840 then returned in 1864 to explore and apparently help (stop/intervene with Slave trade - not my area of expertise)...the months grew into years; rumors in England spread about his capture or demise;
Henry Stanley a brave, curious and interesting man led an expedition in 1871 and after about 8 months found the Doctor in a small village near Lake Tanganyika.
Getting back to ( possibly) our Livingston (not Livingstone
)
I find it hard to believe and would be very disappointed if our staff did not due their due diligence.
all the best!
