Amir Garrett

 Amir tweeted to the writers of the article shortly after they the posted it that he is playing Baseball in the summer.

He was at the Fordham game sitting behind the bench apparently. Hes not allowed to be "with the team" until cleared
 
I'm reluctant to say things and not from this thread but I'm starting to see some ppl don't care for news or tidbits. If anything they poke fun at it, especially the times ppl are wrong.

Amir is fine. I wouldn't expect him tomorrow since paperwork was sent on Friday there was only a couple of days to approve and get him acclimated and practicing. I would think Providence will be his debut.

Thanks Moose! I, for one, understand. I am praying for a quick review and approval as it could not come any sooner.
Hopefully we add one more player for depth in case of fouls and let us roll the dice! We have nothing to lose and only to gain after all the bad luck. Keep us posted.

I'm being real. Will he suit up? Sure. But Junior Salazar saying Amir is playing tomorrow is not enough for me. He hasn't had one practice. I expect to see him on the bench but playing would be interesting considering he hasn't had a single practice under his belt.
 
 He migh get a few minutes just to spell guys. He's not incapable, even without practices. He's been playing at Bridgton and is in game shape, just doesn't know all the sets. Put him in when we go man-d and he'll be fine.
 
 Nice to get some good news for a change. Unless the game is close I see him playing to spell guys and develop chemistry for the BE.
 
Welcome aboard Amir!!! Congratulations on your hard work and getting the necessary grades. We all look forward to your helping the Redmen get back to being the Beast of the Big East!
