These bigger conferences are going to make scheduling a mess too, especially in football.
How many out of conference games are teams going to have? And split divisions creates unbalanced schedules as well. Look at the SEC, this season Alabama got away without having to play any of the good teams from the SEC east - (no Florida, Georgia,, or South Carolina), meanwhile Les Miles and LSU had to play two of those teams.
And that says nothing of non-conference rivalries that are disappearing as a result of more conference games.
Will ND still be playing Michigan in a few years? We've already seen the end of games like Texas/Texas AM and Nebraska/Oklahoma.
To me that's a sin.
It'll be strange not to see Syracuse on our schedule in the future, and probably UCONN as well.
