Adonis De La Rosa,

At Jordan Regional game;

@CNG_Staszewski: Samson Usilo has 12 points, Khadeen Carrington 9 and Adonis Delarosa seven as their team trails 47-42 at the half at the Jordan Classic.

@NJHoops: St. John's bound Adonis De La Rosa has gotten much more aggressive & polished since we last saw him in AAU play

@AdamZagoria: #Sjubb bound @adelarosa0920 with 12 and 7 for White.

Delarosa looks forward to Obekpa’s return
By Joseph Staszewski

One of the things Adonis Delarosa was looking forward to most about heading to St. John’s was getting to play against and learn from center Chris Obekpa.

But that opportunity was in jeopardy when the Christ the King forward gave his commitment to the Red Storm. At the time, Obekpa was exploring his transfer options.

No one was more excited to hear that the Red Storm’s shot-blocking sophomore planned to return to the Jamaica Estates school than Delarosa, despite the fact it could mean his own playing time could decrease.

“I was actually upset about it,” the 6-foot-10, 280-pound Delarosa said about talk of Obekpa leaving. “Now that he’s back, I was just, like, pumped.”

@ctkcoachjarbs: Congrats to @adelarosa0920 being named POY in Queens and finalist for all-city POY by the @NYDNHighSchool

Well deserved. Adonis was the difference maker in CTK's run through the federation title. No one else had the size to stop him.

The kid has a great attitude. Looking forward to seeing him play for the Johnnies next season.

Omw to DR to to be with my sister who is now in heaven

My deepest sympathies to Adonis and his family on the loss of his sister. May the family be spared any further sorrow. I can't imagine the pain of loosing a sibling at such a young age.
G d bless them all and give them the strength and courage to carry on.

I can't remember another team having two 7 footers!

Providence will have two 7 footers. Carson Desrosiers, who is very solid and incoming recruit Paschal Chukwu--7'1", 4-star recruit, rated #61 in the country.
What they are lacking, though, is guards.

Kris Dunn sat out as a medical redshirt this season.
He's a stud.
They'll be tough again.
Best coach in conference.
