The school has not officially announced it yet, but ED BROWN, a 6-foot-8-inch, 270-pounder from Copiague (L.I.) High School, said last night that he signed a letter of intent Wednesday to attend St. John's. "I liked the atmosphere, the coaching staff and the system," said Brown, who also considered Seton Hall, Rutgers and Clemson. "I think they like me as a rebounder."

Have heard between 1500 and 2000.

Mike Menenfield
Curtis Johnson
Abe Keita

Following the great pipeline of centers SJU has produced

Mennefield was a 4 not a five, maybe you are thinking of another transfer, Mitch Forster.

Your overall point is received.

Im sorry, i apologize let me list a few more who starred at SJU

Tom Bayne
Ed Brown
Tomas Jasuliones

I must have been living down south at the time but who was Ed Brown?
BTW Hit, of all the players you mentioned, only Tom Bayne is a good comparison. I one asked Louie what would inspire Tom to get into shape and his hilarious response was "a kick in the ass".

Well Bayne must have gotten the kick in the ass, because he eventually did get in great shape.

Brown did well at Rhode Island playing along side of Lamar Odom (CTK) and Tavorris Bell (Hempstead) making the NCAAs. However Brown was declared academically ineligible in his last year of sports eligibility.
