Adonis De La Rosa,

Nobody has officially qualified yet since you can't be qualified until you have at least graduated high school.
 
The ONLY good thing about having Lavin as our coach is having fun predicting his quotes. Here is my attempt........

"Adonis will be the anchor or hub of our offense. St John's fans might think of a cross between Bill Wennington and Anthony Glover, both NYC big men who knew how to persevere through challenge or adversity. Adonis will also bring some much needed strength, toughness, or braun if you will"

Good attempt, only problem is Bill Wennington was not a NYC guy :)

You can't take an official visit unless you've already taken the SATs.

“I definitely feel like they haven’t given me the credit that I deserve,” Delarosa said from the University of Pittsburgh, where he took his first official visit on Thursday.
He also may take official visits to Rutgers, South Carolina and Alabama over the next couple of weeks before he makes his college decision on April 18, he said.

True.....he is Canadian. However, he did go to high school ion New York.

It's so astonishing that this time last year we were praying to get Jordan, the final piece that would lead us to a sweet sixteen. Now, we are picking at the scraps of this recruiting class, to save us from getting out rebounded by 20 every night. :dry: so sad

We got outrebounded almost every game last year. Sampson decided it would be help the team better to take 500 threes a day instead of stepping foot into the weight room and working on playing his actual position.

Live and die with the back court and now we dont' have to watch 1/3 of the possesions start or end with oversized and underskilled players trying to create off the bounce instead of doing what is best for the team.

a vivid reminder is the Xavier game at MSG. You know the one where Jalen Reynolds had 17 and 16 against our front court. Yes that same Reynolds
who had 3 and 2 in his next game.
 
This opinion of Adonis keeps me somewhat optimistic. Tom K knows his "stuff".

1) I hate Lavin, but pretty happy we're signing Adonis. I think a lot of the haters would say the same.

2) Are you a Lavin believer now Marillac? I seem to recall something about a "sissy"...
 
Somebody needs to tell our recruits its SJU not USJ. Adonis is just the latest to say University of St Johns.
