Just got home after post game diner on Arthur Ave.. Great game between 2 great teams. Lavin was there as was reported. Williams and Carrington very impressive for Loughlin. Alkins, while only a soph, the most athletically gifted kid on the court. Aston still IMO best all around player on court. With all that other talent, he was tourny MVP. That says a lot about the kid. Still wish we were offering. Think he would be a very solid 4 year player for us.

Frank Martin, being Cuban always seems to get at least 1 Spanish recruit every year to come into his program, he def has a chance. Even though de la Rosa says he doesn't really want to stay home you can never doubt lavins ability to close. I still think we have a strong chance.

Cardozo with a huge effort. It's not easy for a public school to compete with a monster private school team like that. CTk is just loaded.

I spoke with Adonis for about a half hour after the game Tuesday night. He was not down on St Johns at all even though we lost. He talked about how he felt he could contribute to St Johns because he can score in the post. He feels that if everyone returns he will be surrounded by good players and the team will do well. He said that the staff told him that he would play at the 5 and give them an offensive presence in the middle. He also realizes that he needs to continue to work on his conditioning and plans to spend the whole summer doing that. He has made great strides over the past year in terms of conditioning and sounds motivated to continue doing so.

Rivals.com has him at 6 11 280 but if Bartolo Colon is 5 11 260. He has too be over 300 pounds and he has lost weight.

It is a must we get this kid now. Our front court next year is two players. TWO. One gets into foul trouble every game, and one hasn't played organized bball since last year! We are in trouble here...

Good news is I Lavin has not failed to get players since he's been here, and I trust he has a few things up his sleeve, and it's not just ADR.
