Doesn't Darrick have to do 2 JUCO years?

I was never high on Darrick. I'd take a flier on a rebounder before him.

He didn't play last year so he could have 3 yrs left.

That's a positive.

But like I said, I'm not high on him. Maybe the staff feels differently.

I don't think we get back involved. And vice versa

I am pretty high on him, but I agree that we are better of with a rebounder. There are plenty of undersized PFs and strong wings every year at the JUCO level.

I love that 2015 class, but I'd like to save two scholarships for transfers or late releases. There are always a handful of awesome recruits available when the coaching carousel starts spinning--and then existing coaches leave to fill those vacancies. I also look at the mid-season transfer list like a kid looking into a toy shop window around Christmas.

I wonder if there is any thought on redshirting someone next season to smooth out the 2015 transition? Perhaps Greene or even Pointer if the staff is confident in Balamou and/or Jones.

Balamou has been so dominant in practice that he is expected to be an early entry in the draft.

Ha! Mali D League I presume.

Watching DeLarosa against Molloy. Needs to finish more against a smaller team but has a nice touch.

You have to realize the guys guarding him where 5 inches shorter and fifty pounds lighter but was really impressed with his shooting touch.

Ive thought about that option for greene. Would have Jordan, dlo, branch to play bulk minutes and Felix to play spot. Plus the year after Phil could have a year to be a primary scorer.

Don't see that happening. Can't see how you'd do that to a kid going into his senior year with all of his classmates together for 4 years when the team has a chance to do something special. If everyone comes back we are looking at a pre-season top 25 and favorite to win the Big East. Can't see how we don't go for it with all hands on deck. Let's face it, Felix as our backup 2 guard is not going to cut it. If Dlo got hurt and missed any extended time we'd be in trouble.

Let's see who we sign. I'm sure things will look much better once we get a couple of commitments. Right now things look unbalanced but we are assuming guys are going pro and we don't get anyone. If no one leaves early we could do a lot worse than a nucleus of Jordan, Sampson, Opekpa, Jones and Hooper. I'm sure Lavin will have a couple of surprises for us. We could also bring in a transfer if there are coaching changes or a guy like Jermaine Lawrence isn't happy about playing time.

I dont disagree with you, it would be tough for the kid and you are right the team could be poised for a great year with Phil being nice part of it. In my opinion though he is the 4th best guard we have and if coach lavin asked him to run a marathon than Phil would run a marathon.
