2024-25 Season

If RJs our best player, we’re in trouble.
Maybe, maybe not. History shows talented kids make leaps.

No one predicted senior year Dom Pointer would have been arguably our best player.

No one would have predicted Kolek would have been the best player on a really good Marquette team 2 years ago, which was picked 9th preseason in the Big East.

Everyone knew Uconn was good coming into the season, but no one would have predicted Spencer was going to be an all-league first team player.

Seton Hall was picked 9th this year, in part, because the talented Kadary Richmond had never put it together in a single season. Was never on an all-league team before this past season. Was picked preseason his junior year, and didn't make any all conference team. He finally put it together in year 4. And while we are on the topic of the Hall, no one would have predicted Dre Davis would elevate his game to arguably an all-league player, even though he ultimately didn't make the team.

Devon Carter was a solid player 2 years ago. Hopkins goes down, and a kid who was not projected to be a first team all league type player elevates his game to conference POY and now a potential lottery/first round pick.

Assuming the Kentucky game gets finalized we're going to have a great OOC schedule next year.
Yup. Also the MTE (2 games against good teams), and the Big 12 challange. They will certianly have their chances to do damage (one would think).

Would still like to see one more major conference opponent (hopefully, the Alabama game stays on), and one upper level mid-major team (admittadly, that's going to be hard).

The remaining 4 games would be "bye" opponents under that scenerio, which is fine.

No more Big 12 challenge and no confirmation of Alabama. And Duke is dead for now.
