2024-25 Season

True, he didn’t need to but there are many who share his sentiments. We tend to ignore it here on red.fans but the massive lawsuit is still out there hanging over SJU. Heaven forbid it ends poorly for SJU. I fear that my buddy Montes words about Anderson’s agent playing SJU for fools will come back to haunt us.
Interesting that Anderson has not had one job overture, as head coach, assistant coach, advisor, analyst, or anything else related to basketball. Not even any motivational speaker gigs! At any level.

Not sure why litigating a “massive lawsuit” is worse that paying amount sought and surrendering without a litigation. 99.999 % of suits settle with plaintiffs accepting some fraction of the claim.

That we are aware of , he may have had and may have turned it or them down.
Let’s hope he did, failing which it bodes very poorly for SJU and will help him enormously in his case that SJU destroyed his 20 year head coaching reputation.

From The Athletic:

• Rick Pitino makes his postseason return in a big way, leading St. John’s to the Elite Eight behind his newly minted backcourt duo of Kadary Richmond and Deivon Smith. The Johnnies probably should have been in the field last year — they played UConn as close as anyone the last three weeks of the season — and that was with a roster Pitino cobbled together on the fly. Now that he’s had a year to set things how he likes? Expect one of college basketball’s best-ever coaches to remind the world of how he made his name. — Marks

The only offer he had when he was let go from Arkansas was us so there’s that. Diminishing returns means diminishing job offers.

This is not a court case and will be decided through arbitration.
