15 days later... doesn't look bad... i under-ranked us...
i think we will be one spot higher than Marq on Tues... im going with a #12 StJohns vs #13 Marq
From 1950 - 2000 St. John’s reached the top 10 in the AP poll in 23 seasons.
They are two games away from getting there for the first time since.
Interested to see where we will land Monday. My guess is 12th, but it will be cool to see the increase in top 10 votes this go around.

2000 when they reached 9th. I recall it because I remember a poster back then on BEB saying we would never get in the top then that season. Southern Johnny maybe

The best thing is going to be when we win BET and BE regular season and CBS asks committee chairman to explain why we are a 3 or 4 seed.

I think the range is anywhere from #11-14 (#14 would mean teams like Missouri would pass us), but #12 or #13 are definitely most likely.
bucketshardy's post above is what I think is most likely with the AP putting us one spot above Marquette since we're ahead in the standings. Marquette still has the better resume certainly, so who knows.
Also we're now up to a 6 seed on Bracket Matrix! Would be huge to get to a 5 seed and avoid playing an at-large team.

Of course interested to see where they end up today (being ranked is fun) but like all of us even more interested where they are next week.
The next two games more than likely will set whatever the national narrative is about this St John’s team (they’re a legit Final Four Contender vs who have they really beaten?)
I know they’re capable of losing on any given day but I’m fairly confident we have a Coach who will keep them focused and experienced players who will show up if it’s close. Haven’t always been able to say that.

This ballot has us at #9. Jumped five spots since last week for him.
