2023-24 Roster

I'm getting concerned that we are running out of roster spots :)
RP will need at least 5 new recruits next year, probably more. He stated this years task has been daunting, doesn’t get much easier next year if at all!

This is the new norm in college sports. Most teams will have 4-6 scholarships to fill.
With a balanced 13 man roster you would typically be
replacing around 3 players a year. 4-6 would be pretty reasonable now if you retain the majority of your players. I think 6 will be more common then 4 for many teams. 3 or 4 Freshman and a couple of transfers but maybe the other way around for some teams.

1-Jenkins, 2-Dingle, 3-Taylor, 4-Ware, Soriano
Bench: Luis, Dunlap, and the rest, wow next year is going to be fun.
MSG is going to be rocking REDMEN style.

Hope I'm allowed to use that word, or I apologize.

Political correctness sucks.

Based on his comments, he seems like a very laid back recruiter. Getting 10 guys in 8 weeks wasn’t a great fit for that style. A full year of recruiting and hopefully some good news with facility and NIL upgrades will make next year exponentially easier.

Ideally, with such a decorated and well-known coach, you want to make it almost an honor to talk to him personally. I’ve heard of other huge coaches letting their assistants do 99% of the work early and then they personally offer the kid themselves. Imagine getting an offer from a living legend personally? Powerful.

I think Alleyne starts with Dingle. The kid played 20 minutes on a National Championship team. He’s not coming here to come off the bench behind Jenkins. Jenkins is a good player but he’ll be the first guard off the bench if Dingle comes.

I trust if he comes, CRP will know the way to best optimize their skill sets.

I heard this guy Pitino knows a thing or 2 about player development and winning games😁

Bench - Conway (1)
Bench - Davis (3)
Bench - Traore (3)

Current main targets and where they slot in if they commit:
Mgbako (Starts at PF, likely one and done)
Dingle (Starts at SG, bumps Alleyne to 1st G off bench, 1 year left)
Luis (Maybe starts as a small ball 4?, 3 years left)
Ware (Backup C, maybe mins at PF, 2 years left)
European (???)
