2023-24 Roster

PG - Jenkins (1)
SG - Alleyne (1)
SF - Taylor Jr (2)
PF - Slazinski (1)
C - Soriano (1)

Bench - Dunlap (4)
Bench - Conway (1)
Bench - Davis (3)
Bench - Traore (3)

Current main targets and where they slot in if they commit:
Mgbako (Starts at PF, likely one and done)
Dingle (Starts at SG, bumps Alleyne to 1st G off bench, 1 year left)
Luis (Maybe starts as a small ball 4?, 3 years left)
Ware (Backup C, maybe mins at PF, 2 years left)
European (???)
I guess Davis gets locked into a certain amount of minutes backing up Jenkins (unless Dingle can play PG too). So by that line of thinking, if we somehow hit on all the targets we are dreaming about as of now, would Dunlap be the 11th man? That's literally insane considering where we were as a team (and as a fan base) two weeks ago.

Dunlap would be playing 25mpg for us last year!

Dunlap, Conway, Traore would be bottom three with Ware right ahead of them -- a co-captain of Kentucky who would have also played 20 minutes for us.

What a time to be alive.

Dingle at point with Taylor at 3 and Slazinski at the 4 for clips should be more than enough ball-handling and passing regardless of who is at the 2.

Yep, pretty crazy that we're porentially looking at landing all 3 of Luis, Taylor, and Dunlap considering they essentially all play the same position and all have multiple years of eligibility left. Also Conway is on the roster at that position too but only for a year. Have no idea where his minutes are coming from.

Don't know much about Davis but his numbers definitely don't scream PG to me and don't think he's thought of as such. Dingle was a do-everything for Penn and had the ball in his hands a ton. Think he definitely sees time at PG this year if he happens to commit here.

Did I miss something today? Is Keita no longer part of the roster? Been a little distracted by the Derby...

Dingle should have two years of eligibility left. Ivy schools being on different pages in regard to Covid eligibility is a massive pain in the ass

He played the 19-20, 21-22 and 22-23 seasons. He would only have one year left regardless of if the Ivy played or not in the 20-21 season

It’s fine because the way it is working, we are spacing out ships a bit and can continue to reload. Kid is nasty scorer. I’m not convinced he’s a natural pg but will let RP decide how to create his roster

Thanks so my for putting this togeter

We can go the Monte route and choose to believe that he saw the writing on the wall. That's what I'm going with.
I would assume his workouts did not impress Pitino enough not to recruit over him with Ware or another big man with better in game experience. I hope Mo stays local so we can see how he progresses.
