2023-24 Roster

Can Taylor play guard?
Because he has what 3 years left and Dunlap is a Frosh and seem to play same position
I think he could for most teams. I don’t really see that for big minutes under Pitino. I have a sneaking suspicion Jamal Mashburn Jr. will be our starting two next year.

You think he's gonna go and poach the best player from his son's team? Woof

Also, Mashburn Jr. already got his free transfer so unless he's graduating in 3 years then he'll need one of those difficult to get waivers to be immediately eligible elsewhere.

He can play guard. But think Dunlap needs to focus on getting strong enough where he can be an option at both forwards spots.

Taylor 3/2
Dunlap 3/4
Like the signing of Dunlap but right now he’s built like a twig and I can’t see him defending anyone well right now. He can earn his PT on the offensive end though until he hopefully matures physically.

I have little doubt Dunlap makes an enormous jump physically from freshman to sophomore year.

He is a coach’s son who came here to develop under Pitino. He will do what it takes to improve.

I said the same prior to him committing. Think there’s a long way to go but not something that can’t happen. He projects as a 3 for any professional level, but many of those guys succeed as a small 4 in college. Don’t think he’ll ever be that primarily but as an option.

I don’t think poach is the right word. I don’t see the point of him returning to a level he has dominated for two years already. Next year would make three seasons of scoring over 18 ppg. I’d expect him to move on even if RP was out of coaching. It’s clearly in his best interest.

He’s more than fulfilled his obligations to the school and Pitino Jr. after he graduates. He should not be at that level.

If Dunlap ever plays any meaningful minutes at the 4 I will be absolutely shocked.
You think he can guard college 2’s?

Plus you’re inherently opposed to “pf’s” who can shoot. Can’t think of it like that. There will be times when there’s a center on the court + 4 other guys, and out of them Brady will be the tallest. I’d say many more times than the opposite situation of him being the 2nd guard on the court. There are way too many talented guards 6’2- 6’5.

C’mon, he knows everything about Pitino
