2023-24 Roster

As the roster currently stands, I think 17-20 wins would be a reasonable expectation. Now, we still have four spots open. If we land Dingle and a quality power forward with two of those four spots I think we have a chance to be very good and exceed the 20 win plateau.

We only have three spots left. Priority is a scoring guard and a PF.

I see us in the 17 win range now up to 20 or so if we can land a guy like Dingle. Obviously it’s very early and crazy to make predictions, but certainly not unreasonable to set our sights on the Big Dance with a guy like Dingle. Without a scorer like him, I think it will be tough.

We are basing it on the staffs opinion. The same staff that is lead by a hall of fame coach.

You guys are saying not to pay attention to portal rankings but would cream yourself if got the Duke kid and are happy because Dunlap a top 100 kid.
Arguments are inconsistent.
Btw Dunlap seems to be a real good pickup

Also, Ron Artest scored 11.5 points a game his first year. Not comparing the players but he had "similar numbers" to Jones and him.

Artest I believe was Big recruit and had those stats on a tournament team with 3 pros besides him on team.
Btw point guard was a big problem but looking back not a great job by Fran there.
 
Think about the last time we beat out Nova, UNC, OSU etc for recruits.

This place has got the best meatball heroes. UTAH 2!

Holy smokes.

I have been consistently talking about not spending all of the time on rankings because some players just fit better.

But there are obviously exceptions, like Mgbako. Consensus top 10-20 recruits do not sniff SJU very often.

He is will be a program changer and that is because all of the scouts cannot be wrong. That kid will fit in any system.

And use better analogies. Yours is gross and unfunny.

I and others love the pickup from watching his tape as people have commented after watching it. Kid does many things really well.
 
Roster is shaping up pretty nicely.

I admit I don't patience, especially when no one popped in 2 weeks, still was 5 spots open, and was into May. Was getting to the point that I was getting nervous that just maybe no coach could bring sju back.

With the last 2 days, I'm much more relaxed.

Go get them Rick.

Can Taylor play guard?
Because he has what 3 years left and Dunlap is a Frosh and seem to play same position
