What does Clayton’s highschool scouting report have to do with Jenkins being the primary point guard last year? I’m not saying Clayton is incapable of it. I’m saying you saying Jenkins wasn’t a point guard is incorrect.

I'm just trying to say that Jenkins / Clayton would appear to be upgrades over recent SJU backcourts.
I agree, they haven't done that at the B.E. level--and Rick seems to be still pursuing guards--but they both look talented (to varying degrees) and I hope they both commit to us soon.

Daniss Jenkins shot 24.6% and 23.3% from three his first two years before shooting 36.1% this past season under a hall of fame coach against much weaker competition. He has a 39.9% career field goal %. He is not comparable to Clayton Jr. as a shooter.

If you think Posh wouldn’t have shot north of 30% in the MAAC under Pitino surrounded by shooters then you are nuts.

Both can shoot the 3 and score. Posh isn't a scorer and Curbelo had a few good games but really didn't do jack.

Now I'll get bitched at talking about Posh that way, but just being real.

Going from posh to clayton jr is like going from a honda to a ferrari. Clayton jr is an nba draft pick when he leaves. Posh will be lucky to get minutes at Temple.

You guys are crazy not to realize how much of an upgrade this is.

Hahaha. Posh was bricking 3 off the backboard. Big east, maac or my back yard, it doesnt matter. He cant shoot. Good luck to him but we dont carry players like that anymore.
 
We've got a potential all-american caliber center to build our starting 5 around. That's a damn good start. I'm not at all worried about filling out players 6-12. Traore is at least 1 of those players. So now Rick needs to find 4 solid players to fill slots 2-5. Hopefully Gardner is in the mix. Something tells me that we'll be very happy with how the team is shaping up within about a month.
 
Once again, I think all of us wanted Posh to return, Storr as well. It isn’t an either/or type thing. We also offered him to come back but he didn’t want to. Time to move on. Maybe in the end he does come back. We will see.

I think Clayton Jr is a big upgrade regardless of who left. I think Jenkins is very solid and can be a big contributor off the bench most likely, getting solid minutes as he can score very well and do a lot of things.

How many kids have we seen on Creighton , Marquette, PC, etc who had never done it at the big east level before, but who turned out to absolutely destroy our "big east level" kids? I'll leave it to Rick, not this board, to decide which kids have "big east level" talent, and how to best utilize the kids' talent.

To my defense, I never bring up Posh. You guys keep talkng about him on every page in every thread. You guys are dangling the carrot in front of me. Keep it in the Posh Appreciation thread and I never mention him again. Keep posting about him on every page in every thread and I can only hold out for so long.

And Maher, the third dark knight movie was good. And is Hathaway nude in any movie? Id consider that good too.
