2023-24 Roster

While other teams recently have had success meshing a whole new roster (like Kansas State), and not having any experience ourselves in doing that, I am concerned that we only have 4 players on the roster, all front court players. To me, a player like Clayton is doubly important having played under a recent RP system.

Was it announced that Gardner is staying on? One of the guys I text with regarding St. John’s says he heard that he is via Facebook group. Anyone have any info on this? Did I miss it on this site?

Was about to ask if anyone has input on Gardner's status.
The kid's a Top 80 recruit.
Would love to keep him.

We have gotten no input on anybody’s status except the guys we lost, or kept immediately. Im getting antsy and wanna head some kind of recruiting news… this def a rough week or so thus far with lack of any insider info at all.

Agree MCN. Waiting is the worst, especially for SJU fans, given the past 23 years.
Know nothing, but would think we'll hear some positive transfer / recruiting news by the weekend.
Least that's the hope.
Rick did say 2 - 3 weeks, didn't he?

I think recruiting is in one of those dead periods and it ends on the 6th. Maybe we hear something after that. At least until the 10th when I think another one starts.

I’m just venting. Right now for SJU fans is like that scene from Friends. The one where Joey Tribiani is standing in front of his apartment building in front of a Porsche with a car cover on it. He’s decked out in Porsche gear too, showing off, but there is really a bunch of Empty cardboard boxes under the Porsche car cover.
 
Pitino told us the kids on the team dont love basketball. All but 2 are gone now. Cant wait to have kids on the team that want to win!!
