2023-24 Roster

Charisma, salesmanship, reputation, winner, player development. He's created a narrative around restoration, Nyc, mecca and selling the hell out of it. How? Well, he's Keith Hernandez.

In spite of limits on NIL, facilities. Just imagine what he will bring in when those things improve.

Let's say it takes 4 years to go full blast. If it all comes to be, and I'm betting it will happen, wouldn't doubt Rick stays for a few more years past the 6.

Dangerous boundless optimism this a.m.
I’m expecting similar results to what Kelvin Sampson has done for Houston. I think NIL and the portal make it even easier for Pitino, he can sell salt to a slug.

I wrote out sparknotes and asked myself, “is this even a thing?”. Should have asked kranmars instead. And until I just wrote out kranmars, I have always pronounced your name as Kramers. Deepest apologies old man 😁
No problem. I am obviously huge Honeymooners fan, but I am not that old where I saw the show in first run. I only watched the reruns.😀

got to love having a real coach not only in his first 3 months he totally revamped the current team but now is working on 2024. WOW. Would of liked to see one of those silly games over seas that anderson did so we can get a sneak peak in the summer

My opinion. 2 things for sure with a pretty sure 3rd. Then its throwing darts at this point speculating. Soriano. Dingle. Jenkins.

Barring any disasters I feel like the top 8 are secure. After that it's a battle to become a contributing rotation piece at practice in spot minutes as needed, and they will always be needed for one reason or another but not in any way secure. Conway v. Dunlap for spot shooter time, Ayo v Drissa for spot "big", and Davis looking for spot G minutes.

Glenn Taylor at the 4 and RJ Luis at the 3? He’s got this flipped. I see Taylor as a 2/3 and Luis as a 3/4 and I struggle to see how anyone could view it differently.

My early guess barring major injuries:

Soriano 32-34 minutes
Dingle 30-32 minutes
Jenkins 28 minutes
Alleyne 26-28 minutes

Taylor 16-20 minutes
Luis 14-18 minutes
Slazinski 14-18 minutes
Ejiofor - 14-18 minutes
Conway 10-14 minutes

Scraps for the rest. Big opportunities for 1-2 guys in group 2 to really step it up. If one of those kids can become an animal we are going to be in really good shape.

Also will add, I rewatched some Uconn games on YouTube and I was very impressed with Alleyne’s defensive versatility. He held David Jones to one trey off a block shot that deflected right to him and also guarded O’Mar Stanley some…got matched on Posh a handful of times as well. He gave nothing away to either of the forwards on the glass and he stayed in front of Posh without an issue. He’s just the ultimate glue guy who does things that don’t show up in the stats like bodying his man so others can grab the rebound.

Against Providence he defended a bunch of guards. He plays really good team defense. He switches great, fights over top of screens well, always finds an open body in scrambles. He can be really good in Pitino’s defense guarding the 1-4 positions and seems like a very smart kid.

Him and Jordan Hawkins just have the exact same type of game so he never had the same comfort level he had at Va Tech. Every time the substitution buzzer sounded he looked up. Andre Jackson made that team run with his ball-handling and passing from the wing. It was really a bad situation for Alleyne.

29:34 mark you see Alleyne on Jones. Look how difficult he makes it on him and how he steers him into Clingan. Good stuff.

Obviously we’re all guessing, but fun something to do until any summer practice reports.
i agree with most of above, but I think:
Soriano 4 less minutes 28-32
jenkins 4 less min 24 min
Taylor & Luis each 4 more min.
Ejiofor 14 min( I don’t think he plays much PF )
Add Dunlap & Cruz 4 min each in spot play pre conf start

Marillac must be really excited, since is talking defensive switches and fighting through screens.

I guess the question of who is the starting power forward was answered.

I agree with Luis at 4 before Taylor at 4. I think people see Taylor as the better athlete and a little more size. I’m not buying 6’7 for Luis.

How many are partaking of early workouts? Figure Dunlap is not here but maybe he graduated and is in Town. Florida is in its graduation phase now. Imagining new players have to be enrolled for Summer Sessions in order to be on campus working out. Closed gym or will we be hearings drips and dabs, like above?
