2023-24 Roster

How many are partaking of early workouts? Figure Dunlap is not here but maybe he graduated and is in Town. Florida is in its graduation phase now. Imagining new players have to be enrolled for Summer Sessions in order to be on campus working out. Closed gym or will we be hearings drips and dabs, like above?
He doesn't graduate until June 9.

I will use this to support my case that Davis and Ayo should walk on while also redshirting during the walk-on year. We'll need them more in 2024-25.

If I win the lottery this week that will be my very specific NIL that I fund: Guys who we need to walk on and redshirt simultaneously because the roster is so stacked.

Less Zuby IMO

I actually agree with you larry wright with that dunlap prediction. Just have a feeling about him and he will be a fan favorite.

Sorry, agree to disagree. Next year there's going to be very few minutes for Dunlap.

Less Zuby IMO
Yeah, I had Zuby with way fewer minutes my first go-round a few weeks back but Pitino's comments about how good he is and how he can play the 4 had me adjust him up a bit. Could have been a little bit of coachspeak but wouldn't be surprised either way at this point if Zuby is playing big minutes or if he just plays when Soriano needs a rest.

Wilcher brings it up, passes into the post to Soriano who drives to the basket and kicks it out to Alleyne who pump fakes and passes to Dunlap in the corner who drives and dishes cross-court to Conway who takes one dribble and dumps it down to Zuby who spins on his defender and shuffles it off to Traore who goes up and passes to Davis who goes through the legs to the hoop and lobs it to Ejiofor who comes down with it and passes out to Ayo around the horn to Jenkins to Luis to Slazinski to Taylor who drives and finds Dingle all alone for the three aaaand........IT'S GOOD!!!

There, I've taken care of all the playing time for the 2023-24 roster, thank you very much.

Who were the hooples on here who posted Soriano passes the ball to Soriano who dribbles and passes it back to Soriano or other such nonsense just a scant few months ago? :ROFLMAO: I like your play by play far better. (y)

Per Roger Rubin—
Asked if there are people he envisions in the starting five this season for St. John's, Pitino mentioned Soriano, Dingle and Jenkins (who needs to finish summer school). He said 10 will get major minutes. #sjubb

I do wonder about the rumored big we are still looking for. There are high schools bigs still around -- including one who may know Dunlap and another from LuHi -- if we are looking for projects and/or they are really patient kids. Lots of bigs still in the portal. If you are merely looking for depth, I'm sure lower-end ones left would jump at the chance to continue career and stop sweating that they will be teamless come August.

Even with Wilcher here, my expectation is Jenkins still gets significant minutes, especially initially. Pitino is on record last year saying him and Clayton could have been a backcourt on one of his Louisville teams. A high compliment. His experience and knowledge of the system will go a long way so long as he does what he needs to do to be eligible.
