Totally agree. As I posted some time back, he gives up more home runs than any other ace. I would rather have Cortes starting in the playoffs.I think Cole is one of the least dependable aces I have ever seen. He is the main reason I can't see Yanks going far in the post season.

From an ESPN article: "Judge has 20 home runs more than anyone else in baseball this season; Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Kyle Schwarber is second in the majors with 37 homers. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, it's the first time an MLB player will finish a day with a lead of 20 or more homers since the final day of the 1928 season, when Babe Ruth led Jim Bottomley and Hack Wilson by 23 homers"$99 upto 57, also added a walk and another single.
the greatest yankee season that i have witnessed, from the earliest date on..
#7s triple crown year.
1961 the m & m boys.
the 197x year, when team down 14 1/2 games in mid august.
ron guidys super year.
2022 $99.
I've never seen a noggin' that big since Bonds started with the HGH....when will the speculation start that he's juicin... bets on himself in a contract year... amazing season with the 57 HRs and counting... story line is there...
Sometimes it doesn't...Boone on Torres’ little league home run:
“Sometimes Gleyber thinks he’s invisible out there, sometimes it works.”
Boy, Montas has been disappointing. And now he may have a reoccurence of an arm issue. Looking like a horrible transaction, albeit early. No way he gets to start a game in the postseason, unless one of the 4 above is hurt, although I'd rather German than Montas.Montas has no put away pitch, so every AB against him seems to last 10 pitches, at least. In Oakland, if they do it enough, it will probably find an infielders glove sooner rather than later.
But, I'm not too worried. It's looking like a postseason rotation of Cole, Cortes, German, and Taillon (not necessarily in that order), with Severino as fallback, in case of an emergency.
Trivino has saved the trade from being a total disaster. His numbers as a Yankee are much better than his overall totals.Boy, Montas has been disappointing.
