2022 Mets

Darin Ruf is in the line up today. Lefty pitcher. Since the trade Ruf is hitting a smoking hot .152 with ZERO HRs. (7 for 46). Somehow he has 7 RBI. This has been a terrible acquisition…so far. A day like today is why he was acquired. Time to do something. Anything. Ruf is playing RF and Mark Vientos is the DH.

We traded JD Davis who is hitting .247 with 5 HRs since that trade. Not losing sleep over JD being gone but so far we’ve got nothing from this trade.

and we threw in minor leagers.
 
On a positive note everyone else (except Ruf) contributed again today. 14 hits in another drubbing of the stinky fish! Bill, Walker did step up today and threw a great game. Escobar on fire and even Nido is hot going 3 for 4 with 3 ribbies and even a homer! Who knew??? !!! LOL!!!
On to the Cubbies!

Need to go at least 6-1 on the homestand. Cubs & Pirates got nothing to play for.

Ruf = Gallo without fielding ability
 
Went to game last night. Wished it was rained out. Very low energy Mets last night. Bases loaded twice last night. Twice we got nothing. No Need to mention Darin Ruf Ruf. He did nothing again. Believe it or not it was “bark in the park” night. A lot of people brought dogs pretty amazing. People love their dogs. You could hear the dogs barking throughout the game. They were more enthusiastic than our Flushing 9.

We are 5-5 in the "soft" part of schedule. We need to pick it up.
 
Thank goodness that San Fran helped us out last night. As I’ve said before, you don’t win by hoping that your opponent loses. We need to get back on track. Hopefully we do that tonight with Jake on the mound. We need a win tonight.
