Agree but if we rake the ball like last night I’m feeling pretty damn good
the good thing is with Scherzer going the second game we will be ready for game two even if we win game 1.
Also Cubs have lost seven straight , so probably not losing all three left. Lets go at least 2-1
It was a great game to win but for the most part the hitting was hard to watch.
Just part of a long season but I’ve had more fun getting a root canal and we WON. Dom Smith is annoying me to no end. He is taking some of the worst cuts I have ever seen. I liked him but I don’t know what happened. Ground ball after ground ball Or whiffs.Then he hurts himself on the bases as the ghost runner !? Extra innings really solidified we need another hitter/bench guy.
I don’t know who but man. Maybe try one of the minor leaguers like Vientos or Journeyman Palka. It couldn’t be worse. I’d say something about JD Davis but his scoop literally saved the game.

No prospect is going to really help this team right now.
They need to be aggressive at the trade deadline for a proven DH, 3B or some combination.
We are plus at almost every position except those and our pitching has been phenomenal.
I wouldn't messeith catcher with Alvarez in the wings and Nido and co playing awesome defensively and calling games.
Could always use an elite set up man, but a bat has to be a priority.

Well this sucks! I got screwed by MLB network again. They had tonight's game on the watch schedule and now when I went to tune in, it's not there again. Second time this has happened this season. I'm going to have to complain to the management!!!

Wow what a doubleheader--it was like watching a St. John's basketball game with the score tied going into the last minute. two heart stopping games but Mets defense was the difference in both games. Getting ready for Buck's post game chat. First place at the All Star break. This will motivate owner and GM for some expensive/rent a player trades (I Hope)
We have 12 games left against Atlanta second half of season damn it’s going to be intense. Hopefully Uncle Steve lands us a DH
