Scherzer pitched so well, damn! What happened to our bats? This was a very winnable game. Horrible loss. Lugo was awful!

Great to get our 2 great pitchers back but if they don't get any run support what good is it.
Nice comeback win tonight. I wish that Medina could have gotten the win. He kept them in the game and looked dominant in his three innings. Great overall team effort. It's amazing what a great manager can do to solidify a team and mold the mentality of his players. They're all looking out for each other and sharing information in the dugout. These guys really like playing with each other and for Buck.
I forgot to mention Nimmo. His bat sealed the win.
Add two runs for the Good Guys and you had it right! LOL!!!
Next 7 days are huge with 4 at home vs. Marlins and then fly to Atlanta for 3 games. Mets in middle of 17 games in 17 days. Gotta step up for the next 11 days/11 games. Need 6+ innings from starters to save the pen.
Was looking at the schedule last night hoping for 7-4 before the break than deGromm back and ready to roll.
Whole division is better glad we got those Phillies games early.
Win was huge great to see Dom involved. Looking for a big second half from him.
Reds starters are young and gonna be really good. Not hitting their bullpen for two nights until the 10th was a problem. That said took 2 of 3 and on to Miami.
A win is a win but really shouldn’t have been necessary. Lots of hits and just a couple of runs. In the end, they won the game. I am being repetitive and I think everyone says the same thing… this team needs bullpen but another power bat is needed. Yeah Dom has looked better but I haven’t seen enough from him or JD. I wouldn’t mind trying Vientos if they won’t use Alvarez. But that’s a lot of pressure on a young player. Gotta be a veteran bat somewhere.
Bring back Drury. Not much out there available in the trade market in terms of bats. JD isn't gonna regain his form. His swing is all messed up.
Maybe Dom can bring back a reliever in a trade.
We needed a laugher like tonight's game. It will help relax the team and help them play better. Williams was a monster with his amazing 7 innings. Cudos to him. Great catch by Nimmo in the 4th and very classy salute to Nimmo by the Marlin's Sanchez. We need more of that in the game. Davis's bat waking up. McNeil is such a great addition to this team. The Mets are looking good right now. I think that we're poised for another run. We have 15 games with the Braves in the second half. That's our season right there. We have to win a majority of those games to stay in the race. This is going to be a fun second half.

Boy do I enjoy those post game interviews with Buck; always get a laugh out of them.
Thankfully the Braves lost last night. They are still really hot and we still need to strengthen our team as every guy they seem to add are killing it. Michael Harris and Spencer Strider are two examples. Still a lot of credit to the team for the Mets to be proud of playing so well without DeGrom and much of the season Scherzer. Besides Buck I also am happy with the job that Eppler and the rest of the organization have done to date.
