2022-23 Season

In almost all cases every player is not good at everything. Wusu does not get his due and can really play. Wusu should never inbound late and close. The first sentence doesn’t make the second sentence false.
 
Wusu last year reminded me a bit of Dunn the year before. Did lots of good things (way more than bad) but a few of the bad things unfortunately came at the end of close games. I am looking for him to have a really good junior and senior year.
 
I see incremental improvement( don't see the big upside as some of you do) in Wusu's game and, with his energy level and take-no-prisoner attitude, much prefer him as the 6th man to give us a shot in the arm off the bench.

Now maybe that changes this year with Curberllo, but regardless he is not a bad choice to have the ball in his hands. Man, the Wusu hate on this board is insane. I've never seen anything like it, you'd think from reading here he averaged 2 points, shoot 5% from 3, and has 5 turnovers a game.

Yes, that's right, Wusu really is a great passer. But only the second one. If I were Wusu, I would look for a team where I could be first. Otherwise the talent is wasted.

I like Wusu, I think he is a good rotational player that can do a little bit of everything. Jack of all trades but master of none right now. He can can still improve where maybe some of those skills can become reliable strengths. It seemed to me that most of the turnovers he had were just careless passes that he can eliminate and improve on. Surprisingly for a guy who’s not a pg his ball handling was pretty reliable. If he can remain solid from three or improve and eliminate the careless passes he may surprise next year. He has to take good shots from three within the flow of the offense , not contested deep threes. I like when he’s driving to the hoop, there aren’t many players willing to get in his way when he’s going full speed to the hoop. Also agree with post about utilizing him in the post. He can be solid all around player that any team would be glad to have. Very versatile.

I was referring to 8 or 9 last year, not his first 2 years combined. If we're talking about 8 or 9 in two years, then yea I can see that.
 
Wusu was force fed the backup PG position last season. Pinzon was penciled in to take minutes off Posh, unfortunately he got COVID and derailed his season.
This season, Curbelo will be sharing PG with Posh. Barring an injury, Wusu won't be in a position to play the PG position. He is a creative passer, a good 3pt shot and hard worker on both ends of the court. Less will be more for Wusu, like Dunn, and great guy to root for.
 
Wusu will be better without the ball in his hands so much. Is a really good passer, won’t have to make as many decisions with the ball. I expect his turnover numbers to go down.
 
Red will be the starters when the season starts but the lineups will change multiple times before getting settled as it gets closer to conference play. Wusu will start from game one but may get edged out by Storr or Pinzon as the season goes on.

There's no way Curbelo does not start day 1 (in lieu of Wusu et al), and doubt Mathis starts over Wusu or Storr.
