2021 Mets

So we’re blowing this roster up in the off-season, right?

Hopefully, hitting on this team is just pathetic.  Desperately need a Billy Martin type manager.  Today’s managers are to coddling.  And while we are at, can we get rid of Alderson.

Mets actually win a game. As Pete said, "We got this".
going for a historical second win in a row
Got it--Now they have 12 in a row versus Nats and Miami; must go 9-3.  Conforto better wake up or any chance of a contract of value is over.

So Baez explains that Mets are giving thumbs down sign when they have success as a negative response to their fans for booing them when they struggle. Fans response to the awful baseball they have been playing should be to just stay home so they can reduce the salaries of these overpaid prima donnas. /media/kunena/emoticons/devil.png Baez says they are gonna fail 7 out of 10 times. In his case make it 8 out of 10 times. /media/kunena/emoticons/tongue.png

Here’s the article being referenced:

This pisses me off.  I have seen a lot of crap baseball in my life.  Now my crap team is antagonizing the fans who pay a ton of money to watch them lose, whether it is via tickets, parking, concessions, or cable TV.  I would say blow up the team,  but I think it’s just dump the rubble in a dumpster at this point.  Thanks for taking 2 out of 3 against a team almost 20 games under .500.  At home.  Stellar performance guys, way to deliver.

How many of those 7 fails are K’s, Javy?

Alderson's statement was correct.  Lindor gets 34M per year and acts like a spoiled brat.  Fans pay his 34M.  Baez obviously does not want to be here-let him go and don't sign him.  And for the manager to say he didn't know what this symbolized is BS--he is supposed to be In Charge.  Luis is GONE, he let the players run the team

Just shows that Baez doesn't get it. Winning players and teams use their 7 out of 10 failures to be productive, advance runners and drive runs in. If you don't want fans to boo than understand how to play winning baseball.

Cut Baez. Pillar I liked but cut him too. Lindor has no trade value so we are stuck with him like herpes

This team is really hard to root for they are so stupid at the plate

Funny I have thought for the last few days that we miss Cano who could have mentored the younger Latin players on how to handle NYC Media and Fans. Is that worth $20 million to keep around next year ?

Whatever sport these guys are playing today doesn't resemble baseball the way it should be played. There is no strategy other than the alignment of the fielders.  It's amazing that today's player can't beat a shift. Only Nimmo understands the strike zone, and knows how to protect the plate with 2 strikes. The others treat every at bat, and every count,  like the home run derby.  Their poor play is equaled by poor managing. Whenever the camera is on Rojas, he looks like a guy who snuck into the dugout and hopes no one notices him.

There is talent on this team, but it appears no one wants to be at the plate in clutch. No doubt Rojas is gone, and a lot of the roster too.
