This first pitch was so bad it belongs on our mets thread, I'm trying to think of the all time worst first pitches. 50 Cent, Ba Ba Booey now Conor McGregor. Oh man wtf. lol

Reminds me of this:

Finally starting watching the 30for30.

I want to find someone to love me the way Lenny Dykstra loves the '86 Mets.

The Mets are declining the option on Luis Rojas

Hopefully we get a legit GM who answers to ownership, not Sandy, and he's allowed to pick his own manager.

Need a manager with Major League Experience. No more learning on the job in NYC. If Francona is healthy would make sense don't know his contract situation in Cleveland.

Agreed, but let’s get a new GM in place so he can hire “his” guy.  In fact, no more learning on the job for the GM either.

Ask 10 different people what’s wrong with the Mets and you’ll get 10 different answers, all of them correct.  Here’s Chili’s truth:

https://nypost.com/2021/11/05/chili-davis-goes-scorched-earth-on-broken-mets/

The money quote:

“I was told it’s not about the results, it’s about the process,” Davis said. “Well, if the process doesn’t produce positive or good results, then the process is worthless, because it’s not a good process. The process is making your players better. It’s a bullcrap statement to tell me it’s not about the results, it’s about the process.”

Will the Mets ever put the “fun” in dysfunctional?

They should reach out to the Sixers and see how 'trust the process' has worked for them.

Syndergaard to the Angels. One year $21 million, so much for him and the qualifying offer. It was time to move on for both sides. Now I don't have to worry about his hair or topless workouts.

He never recovered after getting attacked by Khalesi in game of thrones

I'm fine with Conforto leaving.

But Thor..... goddamn I would have offered more to stay.

I wonder if the Angels are sending us Jim Fregosi again.

Ryan was plagued by rubbing blood blisters on his right fingers while a Met.  They tried an old school remedy,  pickle brine, and finally gave up on his enormous potential.

Syndergaard of course coming off major surgery, hardly pitching in 2 years made 18.5 million a risky proposition.  Really,  18.5 or 21.5 is the same risk considering the upside potential (Ryanesque) and downside potential (washed up).

Knowing the Mets, we all fear how this will play out.

Mets participated in Black Friday Shopping by adding Escobar, Canha and Marte,  Rumors also aboung as to,Steve Cohn shopping for some front line pitching.  Steve could really be stuffing the stocking this Christmas.  For us Met fans, visions of sugar plum playoffs dance in our heads.

All 33 year olds......

I thought the same thing but then thought about San Francisco winning 107 games this season with a bunch of "old" guys so who knows.
