For local fans & coaches who may not recall @IamAbouOusmane is a 6'9" post who began at Robeson HS in BK. Strong big who plays with touch and skill around the basket. Terrific kid too who will represent a school well both on and off the court
He's listed as a 2-Star.
If jpm likes him, that's good enough for me

Former Furman/Cleveland State F/C Jalen Williams (RS JR) is reopening his recruitment. Grad transfer with one year to play. verbalcommits.com/players/jalen-…

6’8 240 with bad stats

I would not be unhappy with Williams. His numbers are more sparse than bad and it would be nice but we don't need a star. Rebounds per minutes played is actually very good and he's a big body and built like a tank. Turnovers per minute played not great but not terrible either. FG% decent.

Agree. At this point, I'd be happy with any big body that will not use up a schollie beyond this year. I guess the question becomes would we be an attractive destination. Seems like grad transfers are generally looking for either more minutes or playing with a team that might get to the dance (or both). While we could likely give him good minutes until Steere becomes eligible, once we have both Steere and Roberts (not to mention Sears) don't see a guy like this getting a lot of minutes.

Perhaps but if you look at it from 40,000 ft. he would be the most experienced big man on our team moving up to a much bigger showcase for himself looking past the one year. So if he is competitive and confident, it could be attractive. He'd also have the first half of the season (assuming Steere is out) to claim more minutes. His to lose.

Steere will probably miss the first 9-10 games of the season. Last day of Finals is 12/18 so looks like his first game may be the one in SFO vs. Arizona.

Am not getting hopes up on Tillman.
