A Figgy-like player. Think it was down to Arkansas and Oklahoma State.

Sounds as though Utah grad transfer Jayce Johnson close to making a decision. Nebraska and Marquette the two frontrunners. Johnson averaged 7.1 points and 7.7 rebounds this past season for the Utes.

I guess the good news is that Matt will be filling up his spots soon so that should leave the rest for the rest. ;)

Third school for Laurent
Started his career at Rutgers before playing at UMass
Saw him play as a frosh at Rutgers - had good potential

All four years of eligibility. Went to Arkansas because of Anderson

Had offers from Arkansas and Baylor. 6’10 and 250.[/quote]

Does he actually get all four years? Because he'd be on the six-year plan once he transfers and sits out. Not that we don't have time for a project, but I'm not sure sitting out two years in a row helps his development.

Any chance for a waiver based on the "he didn't play at all last year" theory?

Former Duke commit Boogie Ellis is traveling to Memphis this morning for an unofficial visit, a source told @CBSSports. The 6-2 guard is ranked No. 32 in the Class of 2019, according to @247Sports.

Penny H killing it at Memphis, would not be surprised if he got Precious.

What a hire that's looking like for Memphis!

It was the worst kept secret in the world that he'd eventually get the job, so he actually took a coaching gig beforehand just to hone his skills. Plus everyone still knew who he was and loved him there. Unfortunately our path to hiring our favorite son was never going to be as smooth. The city of Memphis has stars every year, and he's definitely going to keep at least one home each cycle. It was a spectacular home run hire for the school.

FWIW, which likely isn't much, 247sports has Precious 50% for Memphis, 29% for UCONN, 7% for 'Cuse (very old), and 14% 'undecided', with UNC, Kansas and Georgia all 'warm' for this prize of a kid.

I wonder if we are looking at grad transfer Rayjon Tucker out of Charlotte who played for Arkansas Little Rock this year. Big guard at 6'5" who can shoot it 49%, 41% from three and 77% from foul line. Was high scorer for ALR this year and looks like he could play some point. Also rebounds well - 6.7 rpg. Looks like he'd be a good pickup for us.
