Ah yes.....the other BE programs are locked in and focused on recruiting. Meanwhile......we are St. John's.

Providence losing a former 4*

It seems that the kids that transfer who can really help any team, are already committed to their next team before they tell the current'previous team. I suppose the kid's support system works the back channels during the season. It's not an "open market" like it is when coming out of high school.

He is looking at 3 transfers including someone related to Kuminga I believe. Tricky to say the least.

A continued over-reliance on transfer does not bode well for the future, or the staff. There's just no way to balance out a full roster when 2 or 3 guys are sitting out at all times. The grad transfer form now and again is fine (and maybe 1 kid siting out a year), but to have 2 or 3 guys every year sitting out has proven to be a disaster.

And, it appears that that is a half-assed way of getting guys in here, in lieu of the very hard and consistently necessary HS recruiting that most successful programs do.

It also continues to be frustrating that the HS recruiting that is done seems to continue to overly emphasize guys who are highly unlikely to come here (the recruiting version of hero ball).

Good to hear about Brooks. As for Nebraska, I would image Matt would be putting himself -- and maybe Nebraska -- in a sticky legal situation if he's recruiting for Nebraska while being paid by St. John's.

Edit: That said, landing transfers for us might be impossible until the Mullin situation is settled, one way or the other.

There's no law against following someone on Twitter no matter who you work for
