2019 Transfers

If that rule about not having to sit a year happens this will get so much worse for coming and going over the years

Frankly I am growing weary of “Transferitis” I realize we got some solid players this way, but I think Matt goes overboard on this a bit.
It's a crutch. Should be for established teams not those looking to establish.
Transfer U....

Be clear Matt would not be doing this without the approval of the head man...

Build with transfers and three/four year type players. Layer the players in. Then hopefully hit on some impact HS talent. Pretty sound team building model that has worked for other schools (Iowa St, Nevada)

NCAA has really loosened up on immediate eligibility for QB transfers in football. Tate Martell from Ohio St. to Miami just got waiver after Justin Fields from Georgia to Ohio St. got same treatment. Think all you need for an excuse is former schools didn't provide enough tissues and you can gain immediate eligibility. Hopefully Steere is treated similarly.

We get it. You don’t like Mullin and you don’t like transfers. Enough.

I would pass. He has been to two colleges already and he doesn’t hit the offensive glass at all based on those stats (6 defensive rebounds out of 6.7 total).

Yeah but at 20ppg sounds like he makes a lot of those shots...

.7 offensive rebounds would be our leading offensive rebounder. Gotta start somewhere :)

Chris lets him right?

They need to do something like make the transfer count toward the scholarship count for the season following his departure from the school. Otherwise mid and low majors will get eaten alive.

Maybe I missed something, but isn't SJU already over the scholarship limit by one? If/when Shamorie leaves, we will be at the limit. Granted some one else could announce and the staff should be prepared for the possibility. Yesterday Paultz was hinting that one of the big men may be packing up. Not surprisingly, I gather SJU is out of the Precious hunt.

Two colleges already and .7 of his boards are offensive????
Sounds like the perfect fit!;)

Sources: Joel Ntambwe will transfer from UNLV. Averaged 11.8 PPG & 5.5 RPG. Will have three years of eligibility after sitting out a year.

One to keep an eye on I sense.
Stats look pretty good but a 40%fg for a 6'9 kid is scary.

A Maher favorite from a few years ago as I recall, played with Deshawn Freeman who we lost out on to Rutgers.

Shakur Juiston is expected to transfer from UNLV, source told @Stadium. Averaged 10.8 points and 8.8 boards this season.
