2019 NY Mets
Watching two guys go for a batting and home run title the rest of the season is pretty good consolation for another Mets disaster..
I envy you......for me, unfortunately there is only one stat, W's and L's. One note though, both of those players appeared to be somewhat afterthoughts to Mets management. Not sure they even recognized what they had.

If Doc was driving under the influence of illegal drugs and killed an innocent family including kids would you all be feeling so sorry for Doc? He has had 35 years of this problem and a few years ago when Strawberry said he needed help he denied using and called out Daryl for lying and said he is no friend of his despite looking gaunt and about 30 years older than he is. I for one am tired of his bullshit and no longer feel sorry for him. He is a danger and menace to society endangering all of us on the roads and highways. Hope they lock his ass up in prison. He has had more than enough chances and if he wasn't Doc Gooden he would have been treaty far differently. At this point who gives a crap that he could throw a baseball at one time.

If he wasn't Doc Gooden this would not be a story. Next.

Mets, Mets, Mets. Sit through 15 innings, finally go ahead in the top of the 16th, only to see another relief pitcher just fold his tent with the win on the line. No team in baseball has lost more games when being ahead late. Classic second guess, but you save your closer for a closing situation, you don’t throw him out there in the 10th inning of a tie game on the road. Not that Diaz has been anything to write home about but he is still the closer.

Doesn't really belong in this topic but just watched our old friend Amir Garrett blow away the Cardinals in the 7th. He is as successful as any of the former Johnnie's from that great first Lavin class. Stands to pick up a win as Reds just scored 3 in bottom of 7th to take 3-1 lead.

Everybody's favorite druggie Doc Gooden just got arrested yesterday for the second time in a month for driving while intoxicated. When will some people wake up and worry more about the innocent lives he has put at risk than about him. Does he have to kill someone, a child perhaps? At his point lock up his sorry ass in jail already.
PS driving wrong way on a one way street-nice. Another meaningless apology for letting people down,

Would you trade DeGrom for prospects?
I'll add Gill: only in high A ball but he's the 2nd best pitching prospect we got, and one of Abreu, Contreras or Loisaga. Want Happ? I'll throw him in a well.
And a hitting prospect

You want Judge, a potential 50 HR a year guy? Ok, then Judge straight up for him?

Can’t see the Mets trading him to the Yankees for anyone. But hey, I couldn’t see them trading their best prospects for Cano and Diaz either so it is the Mets.

I’ll chalk this up to a temporary bout of insanity. Frazier...yes. Judge, no way. Go get some rest.

Why not? How did we do without him this year? We have alot of depth, no?

Pitching always wins championships, remember that.
Great pitching stops great hitting

And DeGrom is only 31 and just signed a deal so we'd have him for awhile.
At 31 he could have another great 3-4yrs.

Actually I'm surprised that he didn't take less money for a championship contender. He's set with money, is an AS, won the mvp. Only thing he's missing is the grand prize.
