2019 NY Mets
This is by far the worst bullpen ever!!! They are leading in every game and then the bullpen comes in and implodes in one inning and blows the game. They had to see how bad this was and just sat back and did nothing , now it’s too late!
Chalk up another one for Mr. Diaz, two walks, a single and two homers in a 3rd of an inning and another ridiculous, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, loss for this joke of a bullpen.

I am at the point where the first walk or hit batsman or error is a clear signal that a loss is coming. Is there a cure for Armando Benitez syndrome?

The scary thing is they did try to address it. They are paying Familia I believe $10 million a year. That was a horrible decision. Justin Wilson is $5 million a year and Diaz is effectively $20 million as Cano is terrible and not needed. Add Lowrie to this mess and we have a lot of money owed next year to lousy players.

Well you could start with the Wilpon’s selling and bringing in baseball people to run the team but that ain’t gonna happen.

So the altar boy beat writers poked and prodded the manager about why he didn’t pitch Diaz. And the manager snapped.

When he puts him in look what happens.

If only the beat writers would ever get off their soapbox

Again not a Mets fan. Couldn’t care less win or lose. Just despise the profession of journalism and what it’s morphed into nowadays.

Just a bunch of trolls with mustard stains on their XXXL untucked polo shirts. It’s not even a profession at this point

Not a fan of Calloway but other then ripping him to vent there is little that can be done by a manager when you have a pitching staff like the Mets. After deGrom, the starters are all woefully inconsistent to say the least. The bullpen just stinks, there is not one of them even having a decent, mediocre year. Just a horrible organization from the owners on down. They obviously finally have some offense but one thing never changes, they know how to lose.

Ok so it would appear to even the most casual observer that 2019 is collapsing faster than Buster Douglas. But we do have a positive to hang our Mets hats on. I just saw the movie Yesterday, and CitiField made a brief cameo. Of course you saw a Milwaukee Brewer crushing a pitch - probably a Matt Harvey offering, but who knows? Could have been almost anyone but JdG in 2018. Anyway, that’s 2 recent movies for new Shea. The first of course was Avengers End Game, where not only did we get a shot from above, but one of Captain America’s self help group participants said how bad he missed the Mets after Thanos got snap happy. Like wiping out 50% of the Mets would make a difference. Sure McNeil and Alonso would be gone, but you know Cano would survive (and Bobby Bo). Also, no way Thanos could wipe out Tim Tebow, so the Mets would still be able to field a comparable team.

Most Floridians believe Tebow would in fact die and then rise three days later.

Comical, Calloway leaves Lugo in to pitch a second inning again and bingo, back to back homers and another lead pissed away late. I guess he really has no choice, I don’t follow stats but the Mets have to have the worst overall staff in the majors. Hard to believe, but if not true, they have to be a contender.

So supposedly the Mets in their We Remember part of the ceremony honored two players who aren’t dead.

Really???

Current roster players who they assumed from the years they are having they must be dead.

In the second game against Philly, Wilson, a lefthander, got two quick outs on weak ground balls from 2 right hand hitters, yet he was replaced by Gselman. Did I miss something?

Yes, you're missing an l it's Gsellman. (Have to admit had to look it up just knew it didn't look right) ;) :)

Watching two guys go for a batting and home run title the rest of the season is pretty good consolation for another Mets disaster..
