2019 Coaching Changes

I love it when a plan comes together!! Slick Rick to the rescue! For those of you who think Cragg would be scared of the history! Note Capel was welcomed back to Duke after his debacle in Oklahoma! Amaker was welcomed back to Duke after his ncaa run in! Cragg has the Hammer and a plan!!!
No brainer hire that makes sense for all parties.
Do "all parties" include the ones with hookers? Not a good look for a university that describes itself on the school home page as Catholic and Vincentian. I hope the university sticks to its core principles. Maybe Vince Lombardi wasn't right.

Jamie from LA. Odd since he has deep connections to man they fired Ben Howlamd his old boss. Both from SoCal, both coached Pitt.

I'm surprised the hottest name in the business hasn't gotten a call, Chris Beard. Beard loves Tech but UCLA can double his salary and staff allowance...

Holy crap guys, I just heard from a big donor who was friendly with my dad in Sag Harbor that this Pitino thing has real legs. Stu Jackson apparently got involved and called Cragg to recommend him. There are donors who will go as high as $3.5 per and Pitino willing to take a shorter deal, four years, with potential for big pay day via extension and bonuses once he revives program. He's apparently going to bring Marvin Menzies in with him as top assistant. Pitino has supposedly already had two hour-long conversations with Cragg and they are set to talk again Wednesday morning.

We're freaking back, baby!

April Fools?
The notion that St. John’s would pick Rick Pitino seems double toke-worthy.
But I do wonder if there’s anything to today’s buzz about Mullin stepping down.
Don’t know, but it doesn’t seem as crazy a rumor as earlier.
Whatever, I just hope things break in the right direction for the program and soon, whether it’s Chris returning with a revamped staff or that he steps aside on a high note.
This waiting for concrete news is agony!
Lol.
What "Mullin is leaving" buzz? Is it from the board, or elsewhere?

As soon as I read the first 3 words of your post "holy crap guys" I knew you were full of shit and it was an April Fools joke. Next time just say it! ;) :)

I knew it was BS! LJSA's dad doesn't live in Sag Harbor, he's North Haven for life!

I wish he was in North Haven -- it would have meant that he had a ton more money than he actually did.

I can verify LJSA's family is in Sag Harbor. I met him near there for lobster rolls 2 summers ago

it's a little unusual to me that the athletic dept did not put out even a brief press release on Abdelmassih leaving before the end of the day....

So, reading the last 10 pages here has been quite a roller coaster. Was just helping a friend renovate his house all day and see Mullin may step down then I see Pitino...then it turns out to be a joke. Ugh!

Yes Ray, mattc mentioned spin earlier in day from somebody ‘connected’ who said Mullin might be leaving but mentioned Bobby Hurley as the Target—not Pitino.
Still not sure I believe this!
Lol.
