2018/19 Schedule

The return game of the home-and-home series between St. John's and Duke is expected to again be in the middle of conference play, per a source. Game is in Durham. #SJUBB
Are these Duke / St. John's games going to continue beyond next year, or is it 'conditional' once the home-home 'series' is completed?
A very tough gig for us, but I think we should continue them. A great gauge of where we are and where we're going as a program.

I definitely hope we keep the series. We were only nationally relevant for 2 games over the past 3 years, but they were very significant. I got more texts about the Duke game than texts during the entire previous two seasons combined.

Cuse series probably isn't happening again, and they aren't a major power anymore. UConn sucks and has also fallen apart. If Duke doesn't continue, SJU better schedule UK, UNC, Kansas, or.... forget it. Just do whatever possible to keep the Duke series.

That one week vs Duke, then @ Nova, and winning both was awesome.
This year going to Cameroon and winning doesn't mean jack, if we end the season with 15wins and no ncaa/nit.

Time to think bigger then a game or 2, if you wanna be big time. Glad May 30th is nex wednesday, so wait time for Ponds is almost over. With Ponds NCAA (you gotta think if he returns he'll play like a man obsessed), if no Ponds then 8th or 9th.

Rothstein;
NC State will face Vanderbilt and Miami will play Yale on 12/1 at American Airlines Arena in Miami, per a source. St. John's-Georgia Tech also confirmed as part of event.

In addition to Roberts today, Greg W and Marcellus will be here tomorrow and the transfers Monday

Ponds will hopefully get to play with his Jefferson backcourt mate Rasheem Dunn in the game against St. Francis.

Welcome Marcellus, Josh, and Greg. The best of luck to you guys on the court and in life. Let’s go Johnnies.
That rumor of Williams now being 6'6" has officially been blown to hell.
Lol.

You are right. Can't keep up with all these transfers. He went to Cleveland State.

Very disappointed when I saw that.
Great kid, was doing very well academically at St . Francis in the business school. He had supper at my house last August/September following one of their games in Montreal. A really nice kid.

But then how is Earlington almost as tall as Roberts?

Haven't had one of these pictured comparative height discussions in a while. Maybe ME is standing on his tippy toes trying to look taller because he has read about the concerns of St. John's fans wanting bigs.

My answer: Roberts is shorter than advertised.

Yea but compare Williams to Earlington. Unless Williams is actually 5'11, then it appears Earlington is taller than advertised.

I suspect Earlington is only one telling the truth about his height.

What concerns me most is how thin Roberts is. in a perfect world he would be redshirted to get stronger. Williams is lanky but strong. Marcellus is a beast. Once he gains more experience he will get rebounds. Good luck moving him.

Greg Williams is standing off center o he looks shorter than his 6'3, his actual height. Marcellus has been listed as 6'5 or 6'6 depending on the source. I think they all look their height and hopefully still growing.:)
