This is the thing that should scare us the most. Mullin doesn’t seem to have a clue that things like the NET Rankings, SOS or anything that goes in to earning an at-large birth. He’s going to be disappointed when we end up 18-13 and we don’t automatically get invited to the NIT just for being over .500 anymore. Which honestly is what I think the strategy with this NC SOS was about. They haven’t made the NIT under Mullin so he could try to sell that as progress. Citing their 15-5 record as a meaningful thing? I’m embarrassed for him.
