2018/19 Schedule

Let's just win 12 of our 13 non conference game and 10 or more conference games and we''ll be fine. Time to relax and wait to hear MH is eligible. Rumors of demise of Big East are greatly exaggerated.

Yeah, I mean if we go 12-1 or 13-0 OOC then great no problem. But, doing much worse than that would be rough given the SOS. Hopefully for the final game we can add a good opponent.

It isn't so much about having a strong OOC. It's about not having a poor OOC. Currently the OOC is poor, but with another quality opponent that'd help.

No reason to feast on cupcakes this year, since we'll be ready day one. 2-3 years ago? Sure.

Where did you get them? I don't see them for sale on the SJU Athletics Website. As a matter of fact, they still show the 2017-18 Schedule.[/quote]

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner.

Hoophall Miami Invitational presented by Citi
AmericanAirlines Arena, Miami, FL
Sat, Dec 01 2018

I actually got a reminder on Facebook about the event that had a link to Tickmaster.

Our scheduling is looking even worse given Seton Hall's OOC. They are not even supposed to be that good next year and they have nationally recognizable and respected programs all over their OOC slate. I wonder if Mullin is scheduling soft knowing this year is make or break for him. Hopefully someone tells him the committee frowns upon weak OOC schedules and it can very well keep us out of the tourney unless we wipe the floor with everyone except Duke in OOC and dominate our conference which is never easy.

The Big East will begin conference play for the 2018-19 college basketball season on December 31st, per multiple sources.

Can’t wait for the season to begin. It’s not good that the OOC is weak, but maybe that remaining game is ‘competitive’ and hopefully we light up the scoreboard often to erase residual doubts.
Let’s go Johnnies.

This team lost 11 straight last season.
If Figueroa and Heron had not fallen into their laps so late, this schedule would look perfect.

Oh I can wait, think about it. Season begins first week of November, in another 6 weeks the brutal cold can start coming in. I love coll BB but gonna enjoy the summer on the beach and checking out the women in their skimpy little bikinis and sipping on a frozen pina coloda

Not to mention none off us are getting any younger so as much as I love college football and basketball I will not wish my life away.

Have you heard the AD or president publicly state or imply that this is a make or break year for the Coach ? Have you heard that from a member of the board of trustees ?
Please do share and enlighten us. You repeat same ad nauseum or is it just in your make believe imagination since the progress is not up to your liking.
Barring a scandal , I don’t see Coach being let go early as the school
Can not afford to swallow his contract.

Not only would we not want to swallow his contract, but, unless there was a complete program meltdown, it would be a PR nightmare to fire the guy who is arguably the "face" of St John's basketball and the best player in Johnnies history.

There are some non-confrontational ways to reply to such posts which had zero controversial content to begin with.

Sure , so please answer the question. Who have you heard from , either the school president , AD or a member of the board of trustees , or anyone else high up in the school that this is a make or break year for Coach Mullin ? Thanking you in advance.

Valid questions indeed RMN. While I am more critical than most I am also quite aware that Mom and Pop, I mean the admin, are highly unlikely to fire the GOAT just because he fails as a coach.

Lol...that's actually a pretty awesome shirt can't lie. But my point is that it's generally accepted it's make or break for him. I never said he'd definitely be fired but I guarantee you many fans would be ready for the next guy in line.

Mike, I am going to let you in on a secret. .......... Chris Mullin will never be fired. If he departs it will be under different circumstances. ;)
