2017 Transfers

Not sure we had interest in Obi. And Bragg isn't going to care about PT per se when looking at most schools. Btw, Simon and Clark were that caliber of transfer and we landed them.

With all the playing time and exposure we have to offer. Bragg and Obi not even a visit SJU is at the bottom of the barrel. That speaks volumes.

If you are a highly sought transfer and have a change to go to a top 15 school or SJU for your final year why you chose the later? If I was in their shoe I would want one more chance to make the NCAA tourny and win a national title.

A breath of fresh air - Not a transfer story

Per Trey Mines: 6''7" forward Antwan Walker made it official that he will stay w/the Hoyas after meeting with HC Pat Ewing this morning on the Hill
Nice to see a kid decide stay at a school rather than bolt like almost 1,000 others have done

Not when that school is a BE rival

how is GTown a better option for recruits than us? The only myth is that they develop bigs....which recently is not so. We are a rising program and we play in the Garden. I see the johnnies as a better option than Gtown.

I assume academics must come up at some point during recruitment. Some parents and kids actually like to hear those sorts of things. Haven't searched for colleges in a long time, but I remember Georgetown being pretty high up the rankings lists. . .

You were talking about Georgetown, not Kentucky.

Are we more of a rising program than Kentucky?

And by the way, among publications that rank colleges, I'm pretty sure Kentucky is ranked higher.

If we are going to compare us to Kentucky, athletes have their own dorms there as well as their own chefs. They also have top notch facilities and everything else that SJU doesn't have.

Must be pretty easy being a fan of that program. Yet there's probably plenty of grumbling going on in their boards too.

Those class of 72 grads are just never satisfied!

Per Evan Daniels
Duke graduate transfer Sean Obi just committed to Maryland, per a source. Picked the Terps over Georgetown.

According to Newsday a forward on Florida Gulf Coast has made the move to transfer . Anyone have info on him ?
