2017-18 Transfers

I'm shocked anyone is worried about this. Two posters with great sources both confirmed. And even if it's totally wrong, what did we really lose? It's a stud who appeared out of nowhere to most fans, and it gave us several days of dreaming. Way more frustrating to lose a high school kid the staff has spent two or three years on. Losing a kid who essentially didn't exist before yesterday is nothing.

I was worried about Shamorie leaving. Once that shoe dropped in a good way, anything more is gravy. Plus, As LJSA points out, we have very reliable info that MH's enrollment is pretty imminent and I haven't heard any buzz about any other schools being seriously in the running. Just need a little patience which is very easy for me after yesterday's good news!
Yes, I like the fire power of that line-up but what about rebounding when they are on the court.
Heron, Ponds, and Simon are all very good rebounders for their size. It'll be a group effort, which requires Clark to start using that strength to grab some boards. If an opponent can't keep up for 40 minutes, rebounding becomes slightly less important. And designing a defense to help mask size issues is simple enough. Hell, just pop in a video of Buffalo beating Arizona in March.

Worrying has nothing to do with the sources. Based solely on our track record and my own insecurities. And I know this came out of nowhere, but my brain had sold itself that it was happening so I'm passed the internal point of no return there. Again, I completely acknowledge that I have issues.

Damn, Windy City, you sound like me! Gotta laugh.
With the great news about Ponds, the recent transfers--especially Figgy, the solid freshmen class, and the potentially imminent addition to our Staff...hey, we're on a roll.
MH is 'happening'.
Telling ya'!
Let's go Johnnies.

I'm extremely confident and I'm usually the one that doubts everything :)

Plus, I think I've noticed a slightly more conservative Paultzman since "Lock-Gate". So, as long as he's standing by the landing Heron, I am feeling very confident. :p

Mike, you are the ultimate St. John's basketball fan so having doubts is in our DNA.;)
We are blessed to have Paultzman as our shepherd!

Not going to lie to you guys, I have worries with this one and I don’t think this is as clear cut as you guys are making it.

I really hope I’m wrong here. But I’ll just watch this play out.

A 'wagging tail' is good luck! It's like a tea leaf pointing up--also good, according to my advanced tea leaf reading course taught by rawdog.

Aren't young guys supposed to be optimistic? Paul may as well close registration again if the new guys are going to be such downers.
